So that is an extra 2mm on the G and an extra 2mm on the E...

That is still basically the same spacing.

Jeff, my experience has been the one side has a wider spacing then the other 3 pole nails. I can't remember which side (E or G) has the wider gap but I'm thinking it is the E. Not near a bass right now.... working.

Bubinga??? When did this come about? Been playing them since 1970 and, as far as I know, they've always been rosewood............

Bubinga is a type of rosewood, so most say. Although I found a website that said it wasn't related.

Yep...I concur with the article.....Bubinga is NOT from the rosewood family (like I'm an expert )

Hell, wood is wood to me, but I have been told on several occasions NOT to get the two mixed in with each other....

I currently have the pickguardian cover on my MID Rick and although I like it a great deal - it STILL seems just a little cheesy to me....

And I have put the treble bezel cover on my MapleGlo rick and am quite happy with it. I highly recommend the deluxe model which has the raised thumb rest....
