Brown truck always arrives here right about 10:00. About 15 minutes to go for me!!!! YAAGHHH! Sheesh, I have too much to do to mess around with it much when it arrives :crying:

Here's my modified 4001. Bought it new in 1974 and did all the mods around 1978-79.

Custom wood pickguard, DiMarzio Model One in the neck position, stock treble pup, Hi-A (Bartolini) in the bridge assembly (where the mute once resided). Each pup has its own 3 pos switch (center off) plus a coil tap switch for the DiMarzio. Real versatile instrument.

Another Mapleglo '92. Used this rig under a tent in an outdoor party Saturday night. I put a combo on each side of the drummer and the carry was great; got told to turn down. Loved switching to the bridge pickup for solos, the RIC cuts right through the band.:bassist:

Man, there sure are a lot of blue ones in this thread. That's ok though, there can never be too many and they never get old! I'll shoot more pix when I get better light for it. I'll probably have em plastered all over the place this weekend. Hahahaha!

Thanks! That BBR is awesome too. The metallic dark blue is nicer looking I think than the pics can show, but seeing the figure and walnut headstock wings through the finish is dead sexy! Stunning fretboard on that one too. Congrats on that one Bigbeefdog!

Usually I call heresy for modding a ric, but that's one of the coolest jobs I've seen.
