I love that powder blue. Doesn't Rickenbacker call it "Blue Boy" or something like that? Not a color you see very often on Rics!

Guess a Scottish lad living in England who just got back from San Antonio this morning with a Michael Kelly Dragonfly 5 and posting for the first time should show his well travelled, war zone tolerant 1980 4001. Oh soz about the dragonfly but I havent gotten over it yet.

My new policy is no square edges on the front!

The DCMs are beautiful but me and Rick binding can't get along.

Go for an "S" model or a Laredo. No binding, no square top edges, nice & comfy. My Tuxedo is an "S", and it's way nicer to play than standard 4001/4003's.

They're a real pain to get though and more expensive than the standard 4001/3. Very cool basses if you can get ahold of one.

I tried it after I read your post, no, I don't have any saddle jerk or movement with my regular picking, so I picked harder just to see, no, I still don't have that jerk or any movement.
