Update ... three position mid toggle on the newer SR800s is very noticeable with the mid pot rolled off. Maybe that's how it was designed? With the pot in the detent it's not as strong.

Really loving this thing. Plays beautifully.

mid pot at detent could be said at its off position. Rolled fully counter clockwise means you cut the mid all the way, thus no wonder the three position mid toggle effect is very noticeable.

Played a new SRMS805 and 806 today and REALLY liked the way they played and sounded. Heavier than the original SRFF line of basses, which I like, and felt more solid. GAS is definitely peaking as I figure out how I can get one of these in the stable.....leaning towards the 6 string version.

That's a nice bass, why are you selling it?

The Ibanez "new for 2018" SR870 is basically an SR700 w/BH2 pickups (rather than MK1), adjustable string spacing, and a two-tone paint job.
I'm awaiting the new SR670 to show up at Sweetwater.

Now it is up for sale in TB classifieds. Yeah I just played it again and really get some good tones out of it. Got a new project going, though, need cash.

There's one in the local pawn shop for $600 & it has passive PFR (Passive Full Range) pickups, but also a preamp. There is a battery door on the back.
It's neck-through & very light.
Also, the bridges on them (Accu-Cast B200) have an issue. The saddles bend, because there's only one height adjustment screw.
I would have bought the one in the pawn shop if it wasn't for the bad buckle rash on the back & I'm not sure if it has ceramic magnets or AlNiCo magnets.
I think I could fix the bridge issue with some new saddles, but not certain.
It does make a difference, because I had a SRX700 for a weekend with AlNiCo magnets & I prefer the ceramic magnets in my SRX2EX2.

My local Luthier mentioned the bridge issue and that if he has the bad bridge Ibanez will send a new replacement free of charge. I heard that somewhere round these parts too.

I recently bought a new 2017 SR505 after trying out a bunch of five-string basses, including several different SR models (305, 405, 655, 1305, I forget what else). I have one question that I tried to answer with the search function here on TB, but couldn't find a direct answer: Is there a brand of reliable, easy to use strap locks that fit the strap button holes in this bass? I use Schallers on my Ric simply because the Ric strap button actually is the body side of a Schaller strap lock, but for the Ibanez I'll have to replace the button and it would be nice to be able to use the same hole without filling it or widening it. If necessary, though, I can pack the hole with a toothpick or something.
