So what is the main pull of SR basses for you guys?
And is anyone else annoyed there was never a (to my knowledge) SRT/SRX Prestige/Premium?

Yes. An SRT Premium would be awesome but they are pretty close to premium IMO anyway. Plus they would probably put gold hardware on the basses and that doesn't do anything for me.
Talking about it.. I think Ibanez should produce some prestige BTB models again, but then with Bolt-On necks. I don't like the NT's they have now...
Just bought a 1997 Ibanez SR406. Loving it so far! Happy to finally have a six string handy when I want one.
My new 406 sounds great, but is a little quieter than my previous basses. Not a big issue, that's why I love my active basses. Just turn up the bass/mid/treble controls slightly, and then it's all good.
Selling my SR-405 in the classifieds now.

Haha I tried to post on your F/S thread but it was closed. Now you see why I wanted it. This is my baby. I pretty much modified it the way I wanted it. I sanded the back of the neck and made it flat, counter sank the straplocks & tilted the tuners. It plays like a dream
How do you set yours? I set mine with the blend knob a little towards the front pickup, the bass boosted barely, mids flat & treble boosted almost all the way
now blend center, mid & treb dimed and bass about 3/4.
Sorry, just rechecked; treb full, mid about 95%, bass about 75%
When I was in a studio the engineer set everything flat, even the amp, & I was surprised how good it sounded
