The Soundgear Club

ImageUploadedByTalkBass1363564869.152246.jpg I know,, but it's awesome,, play an ergodyne as well,, I love ibanez!

Alright, one last Soundgear question before I'm gone for good (read: until a SR-something-or-another is the subject of NBD)...

I play mostly acoustic gigs now (only own an acoustic/electric bass), and the only amp I have is a Rumble 15 that I got with my God-awful Affinity starter bass. I've never had a reason to upgrade (I only really play in small venues with no need for amplification, and when I have needed to be louder I've been routed direct to the school's PA via the marching band's bass players amp). I've been meaning to replace the Rumble for awhile, but now that I might be getting an SR/other active bass I feel that I really have to. I know this isn't the amp forum, but is there any amp within a reasonable budget that has an active input/has the option to route out directly to a PA?

I know I'm asking a lot of you guys, haha. Thanks in advance!

GK club

Another one here for GK. For the price hard to beat. I have a MB800 and love it and wish I had never gotten rid of my 700. Great amps. I would say avoid the Backline 600 though. They sound decent but seem no so reliable.

Can I get a number please? I bought this Sr300 used from GC. I was looking for this specific color- the metallic orange color and lucked out, found one used at GC for $119! I thought a used one usually sells for something like $199 or a little above $200, don't know why this one was priced this low as it's in great playing and physical condition. Sorry for the bad pic- cell phone photo at night.

Just chiming in as another SR (705) user running it through a GK MB500. The SR sounds fantastic through the GK. :)

Also - as IngerAlb mentioned - Hartke would be great choice as well. My favorite custom-made patch on my Zoom B3 includes a Hartke amp sim. Sounds fantastic with the SR as well. I think either would bring out the best of the SR tone. :)

I just don't understand audio demos with fret rattle. Sorry, not trying to be a jerk - I really do appreciate that someone took the time to make the video and share it. I just don't get if you're showing the sound of an instrument why not adjust the fret rattle out of it so that the listener can hear the tone without trying to imagine it without the clanging? Totally puzzled by this.

Maybe it's because some people actually like that kind of sound? Most of that clank and buzz gets lost in a real mix anyway. I've heard way "worse" than the one in that video.
