I posted on this forum before, and I'm posting again to get the collective opinion of the SR community, so here it goes...
I've been looking to get a new, well priced electric bass (I sold my Fender Std Jazz recently). I put half the money away to save for a car and the rest I want to use to get a cheaper, but still high quality, bass. I was originally looking at a short scale (namely a Fender Mustang) because I'm a girl with smaller hands, but I wasn't completely comfortable with the price. The Squire Mustang models are cheaper, but I'm not particularly a fan of maple fretboards (I know, picky, picky...
). Because of this I decided to check out other basses (and other brands besides Fender) and the SR basses caught my eye. I played one at the store and liked the neck a lot, despite the fact that it is a full scale bass. Since then I've checked out various SR models online.
So now for the question: SR400 or SR600? The SR600 to has better electronics, but is that the only difference? I'm willing to shell out more money for a better product, so I was wondering if anyone who's owned/played both basses could compare contrast them.
Thanks!
