The Spaceman Club

I'm trying to read through all this but it's 14 pages and mostly words so that's hard.
Been using Apollo VII for my guitars and it even sounds great on my baritone Tele at low breakup. So what's the skinny? Any favorite settings for bass?

Searching through this thread, there's really not a lot of info on using the Apollo on bass. There's an Apollo bass video on youtube that I checked out, and I felt like he was getting some cool tones. That video (and @Mosfed 's input) was what pushed me over the edge to give the Apollo a shot. That said, mine still has not arrived so I have no input for you here :) But you should be able to find that YT video pretty easy if you want to check it out.

Yep. Pulled it off the guitar board and tried it for half hour last night on bass. Sounds pretty smooth with bass too. Might even sound better than it does with my guitar. The tone circuit seems pretty compatible with it. I’ll definitely use it with my bass. That works out because I’ve got a couple drives that I’m I love with on guitar that sound iffy with bass. You’re going to like it. When I got mine I was in a vintage guitar shop that has a ton of cool pedals and the sales guy took me on a tour of several drives with a real Bass IV and a Strat but I didn’t grab a full bass. It’s not always possible but there’s something great about being able to try a pedal to see if it works for you.

Love my Explorer! Phasers are one of my most, if not the most, used effect I incorporate while playing. Stupidly sold the first one I had to fund and try out other phaser options, but I couldn't find any others that sounded as good as the Explorer on bass (for me at least). Really wish Spaceman would do another run of these as the secondary market on these are getting really out of hand and I'd love to have a backup (maybe parts sourcing is harder then other pedals? I don't know).

I need to check out an explorer. They rarely pop up.

I rarely get to try before I buy.... Part of the reason I'm always in the buy/sell/trade cycle.... I kind of dig how the Apollo has very few controls. Passive tone control, no eq. No blend. No whatever. Less to fidget with.

The diode switch opens up a couple options on guitar. I will mess with it more later today. I think it’s taking the spot on my board.

it wasn’t a very celebrated release and that’s dumb because it’s an awesome overdrive. I like it way better than the Aphelion.
