Looking for some new fuzz taste. Does the Sputnik III needs some blending / blooping when used with bass ? It's somewhat tricky for me to get to get a consistent fuzzy tone in a mix without a blend knob.
No - it’s low end is CRUSHING and it’s very transparent. I have never felt the need to blend it
Great, i decided to take the plunge on the Std version - there was a nicey Meteor LE, but $110 more for different diodes and finish... Added a Saturn VI to the cart instead 
Crushing low end is accurate.
My Meteor edition arrived last week to keep my standard edition company. Still looking for a red one if anyone is looking to pass one on.
Ready for liftoff and hoping you guys can help guide me a bit....
I'm leaning towards the G4 b/c it seems you basically get the Titan and Sputnik in 1 pedal. BUT, is one a much better tone in your opinion, and thus go for a cheaper titan or sputnik instead (and save $80ish)? The Titan does appeal to me more in vids I've watched. Thanks.

Was really hoping some others would chime in here as I'm interested in this as well (and I was secretly hoping people would tell you to get the Gemini because I'm trying to sell one). I only have experience with the Gemini...and while I got it expecting to really like the germanium side mostly (and had really wanted a Sputnik), I found myself preferring the silicone side (usually ran it about 70/30 si/ge).
Oddly enough, however, I haven't liked the sound of the Titan from any of the demos I've heard. So while I'd love to say the Gemini gets you the best of both worlds (Titan and Sputnik in one), I'd lean towards telling you that they're probably each voiced differently, and I have a feeling as much as I think the silicon side of the Gemini doesn't sound like the Titan, the germanium side of the Gemini may not sound like the Sputnik either....but would love to hear from those who have tried all 3.
I have not tried all three, but I will share my opinion that a Nebula is quite dissimilar to a B:assmaster.
the Gemini doesn’t do a Titan and Sputnik in one pedal. It’s completely it’s own design. The germanium side doesn’t sound like a Sputnik and the silicon side doesn’t sound like a Titan. It’s glorious but not what you are assuming.
Anyone here have the secret mission X that is the filter version and not the sputnik? saw a short guitar demo on youtube a while back, but nothing much out there. Would love to see something besides another fuzz. The phaser and trem are awesome. Not that i need another pedal, but have a little gas lately.
I published my first Youtube demo today, and used my Saturn VI if anyone would like to check it out. It's a pretty bare bones review, but I think it gives some good insight into the tones of this pedal
Makes me regret selling mine. Ah well, there’s still plenty out there when I can afford one again
Does anyone know if Spaceman’s legacy pedals get reissues/put back into production over time? Or is the high-priced Spaceman secondary market the only choice as of now? I’m relatively new to the company and after selling my Explorer a while back (while continuously going through several more phasers) I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s the best phaser I’ve played on bass. I’m a phaser junkie and have been through countless and for my personal taste, its the best.

I have never seen any come back around once they are sold out. As a fellow phaser junky, i agree that phaser is really something, and i don't ever see letting it go. Spaceman's Voyager tremolo and Saturn V are really nice on bass as well - but same deal, hard to find and not cheap on the used market.
I have the secret mission version of the Artemis. It is a little different with switches for the filters - high pass, band pass and low pass - instead of the knob of the release version. I find the high pass and band pass a little tame for bass but can totally see those on guitar. Overall, as an envelope it has some very usable sounds for sure. Probably a keeper, especially since it is only 1 of 20.

interesting comparison... I have the secret mission version Artemis which is a little different so a demo likely might not help - it may be more flexible in the release version. Overall i think the spaceman is good for bass but maybe more guitar-centric in design (imho).
For me, the 3leaf wonderlove deluxe v2 is still my favorite envelope for bass. I really wish Spencer could have modded it for an extra footswitch to swap between up and down envelope but not a deal breaker by any stretch. Its already back on the board. The chromatron looks super cool too. 3Leaf definitely have some great envelopes. Have fun and good luck with your search!
