Yes. Still working on some ideas. I'm a little behind I guess.
I haven't 3D printed one yet, and when I do I'll have to cut it in two for it to fit (which isn't very appealing, but it's a start). I'll post a mockup in a couple minutes

so my bronco has a 1.6" nut (or very close to it) and the mini P has a 1.5" nut (well, very close to it), but the mini P neck feels wider to me due to the deeper neck profile.
i bought newtones for my 24.75" scale MB2 - so far, they're good, although i prefer fender or d'addario short scales by just a pinch. here's my early report: my report - newtone strings for a 24.75" bass
my mini came with 40 to 95, not 45 to 105s, and the super lights are what i usually use. the strings that came on the mini actually seem to be long scale, so the winds are up on the tuner. my mustang and bronco also came with long scale strings. it looks like the mini really won't fit d'addario short scales (or their own short scale strings), as it looks like the wrap length will be 1/4" too short. i ordered a new set just to confirm.
and i have to say "hey, fender, ***? you made a short scale bass that won't fit your OWN short scale strings?" if they planned to go head to head with the mikro, it DOES fit fender and d'addario short scale strings.

These are mockups. They'll look nothing like that when printed, but I'll keep experimenting. RL is RumbleLord, something I came up with the other day as a brand name, username or whatnot.
Will it be an issue that the mini P is 28.5” scale and the strings are made for 29-30” scale? Will the taper end sit correctly? I’m new to playing bass so don’t really understand this.I have a Black mini P on the way. Tracking says I'll get it tomorrow
I have been looking at the StringJoy site and you can make a custom set of short scale (29-30") and medium scale sets..Their strings get good reviews

i would guess it would be an issue, as they say the wrap length is 32", about 1/4" too long as far as i can tell. 32" is the same wrap length that d'addario and fender short scale strings use.
Nice! Will your bed fit an entire pickguard, or would there be a separate "control panel" plate?
Strings are tricky. In theory, any strings with a 32" winding length should fit. I believe someone posted that D'Addario short scale rounds (not chromes!) fit well.
If you don't mind having the fat part of the string wrapped around the tuner post, any short scale strings will fit.
Ibanez Mikro strings fit perfectly. Except for the G, which is cut too short, but can be replaced by a single standard 040 to 050 nickel roundwound.

I'll be checking out a few different sets of strings then...Length and tension seem to be the hard to find sweet spot on these little P's.

or maybe they don't always use the same gauges. i'm still weirded out they put long scale strings on their mustangs, broncos and now the mini P.
Right, it is weird...I put regular scale strings on my 32" Warmoths with no issue but Shorties need a short scale set...Especially when the scale is less than 30"
Just thought, may he roundwounds for the 32 inch necks on Fender acoustic electrics might work, though they are really rough on the fingers. These strings are bronze phospher and produce good volume {not really needed with the quality pups they put on the mini}
If they're for a 32" scale neck, the ball to taper length is going to be much longer than 32", and they're going to be too long. The distance on a Mini from ball to nut is 30", with the E tuner 1.5" above the nut. The actual scale varies from string to string, depending on intonation, but averages about 28.5".

I agree, Volker really knows how to get the best of a Fender designed bass. I think he is the Dean of the Talk Bass College of Mini P ownership
I just have a tape measure, and can do simple math. I am by no means a Fender guru.
I've never used them, but from what I've gathered, Pyramid are game for custom orders of strings, including flats, only not just any gauge: the custom set can be of any winding length and any combination of diameters, but the latter must be chosen among those they already make; so, e.g., a 120 or 126 flatwound of any length you need is OK (they make and sell them in long-scale 5-string sets as low Bs) whereas a flatwound 115 or 135 is not (they don't make it in the first place so aren't tooled up for it).

I signed up on TB (long time occasional lurker though) because I'm interested in that mini PBass... But not as as a bass. Sounds weird, but bear with me.I'm rather looking for a baritone guitar, but I like to mix-and-match when it comes to instruments (even my Cabronita bass has a Mike Dirnt neck), and I like the shape and layout of the PBass.
Moving the bridge isn't an issue, but I was wondering about the neck pocket and plate? Is it the same as a Strat? I've photoshopped this a few times, and sometimes it seems it would be a direct fit, sometimes it's a bit off, but pictures are sometimes taken at an angle that screws up proportions... But the pocket width looks the same.
If someone was to do some maintenance/work and had a non-Tele Fender/Squier guitar neck to try it on, could you confirm (or not) that the neck pocket and plate fit on the bass body?

For those who are curious: yellow is the neck mounting pattern for the Strat, blue is for the Mini PBass. They don't align exactly; however due to distortion in the original pictures I know they each are slightly off, but not to what extent.
The bespoke length tapewound strings I ordered from Pyramid in Germany have just arrived - now time to drink my tea.
