The Squier Mini Precision Bass Club

I've got this carbon fiber pickguard and it looks great on black, bet it would on red as well. Some of you know I've stripped the paint and sunbursted the body. I'm REALLY considering to get a machine shop in town to waterjet an aluminum pickguard for me and then have it gold anodized.

Wow - waterjet an aluminum pickguard? I imagine that's lots of CNC programming, no? What would that cost?

I just replaced another set of strap buttons.

On my original, I went the black route, and both the tuner replacements and button replacements were "cosmo black."

On my second, I am staying with the chrome, and I just replaced the buttons with some nice, big chrome allparts buttons.

I had forgotten how small the stock buttons are. They are comically small. :) They are pretty much sized for a ukulele. :)

Speaking of which, I pulled the trigger on the "pearl bubbles" shelf liner stuff. I hope the bubbles are as small as they appear.

I also ordered some fingertip guards. My right index finger is tweaked at the last joint, and my nail clanks the string when I pluck. Meaning I have two different tones on my plucking fingers. Sometimes it's handy having different tones on different fingers, many times it's not. These should give me consistent sound across both fingers.

And as for those fingertip guards, having lived this long, I thought that I had seen everything.... :jawdrop:
