Better late than never they say;)
I just received my first Status, a 2009 Streamline 4 in natural graphite (mint condition).
Im pretty stoked with it so far, don't know why i waited so long.
What straps do you guys use?, I've got a couple of Colonial leather straps that I love on my other bass's but find the straps to be too long near the front pin?, ie end of strap rubs on the neck at 12th fret, I need something with the hole punched out at 20mm (3/4) centre

I have another question for you guy's regarding gig bags.
The original Ritter guitar bag it came in is pretty ordinary, I feel it does't have much protection where it's needed most, and being a guitar shaped bag the bass just moves around all over the place without any restraint.
I've been looking at Mono Guitar Sleeve as an option, size seems perfect but I'm not sure if the full body of the Streamline will fit under the Headlock system in the bag.
I've emailed Mono about the above but have not had a reply yet.

since we're talking about gig bags, I recently got a new gigbag for my streamline.
The original status bag is very disappointing as it quickly began to fall apart from what I consider to be regular use one of the tuners wore a hole in the bottom and the stitching started to unravel on the side and open up about an inch and a half so far…
It's a shame really because it has lots of useful storage. Why they would provide such an inadequate for such a premium instrument mystifies me.
I though they used to come in a little road case?
I first took the path of least resistance and ordered a headless USA Steinberger bag. No dice. About half an inch too short and not very robust. Returned it.
So thomann it is… $40 intl. shipping for a $65 bag …ugh At least it came fast.
I looked at the Ritter and Warwick rock bag and decided on the Warwick because it has "some" storage and I knew from the reviews that it would fit a streamline https://www.thomannmusic.com/rockbag_rb_20601b_steinberger_bass_bag.htm
It's just "ok" IMO I don't think it will stand the test of use much better than the status bag. And it is a pain to carry. The hand straps are positioned poorly and it doesn't balance while carrying.

I'm still looking for the best option.
As of now, the best bag is my shotgun bag I got for $30. I don't like walking through airports with "Blackhawk Tactical" printed on my bass bag.. yes, I've been questioned by TSA and had to take it out to show them what it was. Also, still not enough storage.
So if anybody finds one, I'm open to suggestions
I wish MONO or reunion blues made a suitable bag

I may just have to get another one or two from status and just deal with them breaking Status Graphite. The finest hand-made graphite basses and guitars. Made in England.

I've also looked at the bags on the Thomann site and they don't really seem any better to me?

Status bags are currently also out of stock.

I'm patiently waiting (and hoping) the Mono crew gets back to me with good news.
When looking at the Sleeve bag pics I can't see how far that Headlock system goes down inside.
If it actually has 21inches or more of space it will be a perfect fit.

I'll let you know if/when I find out ;)

All looks good to me Steve, I'm only 9 years younger than you and technology is outpacing me too. that's a lovely bass mate, I love the exposed graphite weave with the black burst.

I should have mentioned it is a Stealth CW signature bass with the options of red front LEDs and woven chrome front. I am not sure I will use the LEDs unless I find a way to dim them as they are very bright.

I discussed the possibility of a dimmer circuit with Rob, years ago. It would not be difficult. IIRC, a matter of adding some resistance to bring down the amount of current going through the LED.

OK, I went my own way (as usual) after Mono said they did not recommend any of their bags for the streamline.
I ordered a Reunion Blues Continental traveller guitar bag after checking out the size some reviews etc.
It's about as close to perfect as I'll get without going custom I think.
Plenty of protection, reasonable storage and it looks really sturdy and well made.
I have a Mono Vertigo Bass bag and I'd say it is at least on par in every aspect (except the Mono boot).

That's not bad at all. Thanks for trying this and posting. My Streamline is the only bass I own for which I don't yet have a rigid case.
