Oh, great. I want to sell my original S2000 thinking that as Status is defunct it will be worth heaps, and now you come out with a re-issue in time to devalue mine! And I can't order a Streamline 5...
I hope this means that Status is going to continue on in some form building basses. And necks.
Edit: NOT selling the S2000, it's too good and has too much sentimental value.
They never said that. They said they'd stop taking new custom orders for the current line.
Also, your original S2000 would have a stiffer neck (the new ones have truss rods). I'd much prefer one of the originals.

It is exceptionally stiff and strong. Some here would cry if they knew what I paid for it too.

Well, if they are making some new S2000's that's great. They were some of the most interesting basses in the range to me despite the fact that they were slightly cheaper than the Series II etc. Of course, they could probably charge what they want for any new run. People see the curtain coming down and whilst the future of Status Graphite remains unclear, the bubble will persist.
If the 30th anniversary editions are any indication then probably not.
They responded to an email confirming there will be 5's.

I hope the S2000/5 will be affordable. - I'd like one, but I certainly don't need one.
I guess "affordable" is relative. I inquired about a FPPR S2 last summer and was told that if I wanted to hold out and budget wasn't an issue that I probably should (nothing else was divulged at the time but I figured it must mean that a batch of S2000s was in the works). So I would expect that the new S2000s will be quite pricey (they are a limited run after all, like the 30th anniversary Series IIs).
