What a bass! Do I get a number or something?
Hello! I've been lurking on TB for years (decades?) but I recently unearthed my Status that I purchased circa 1991, and after rabbit-holing for a few days trying to figure out what model it is, I finally found this wonderful, massive thread -- and I still couldn't figure out what model I had!
What was throwing me off were the variations on each model... I found similar Stati but with differences in the type of pickups, number of pots, or the graphite neck didn't go all the way through, or they weren't headless (I later found out about the Matrix versions), etc.... and hadn't seen a single one in the same color as mine. So, I finally emailed Rob Green with photos, and he said "Looks like it may be an S1." Woohoo! Then, I found a photo of an old Status catalog that confirmed it -- the bass in the back of the photo is the same color as mine, and the tuners are peeking out at the bottom. I'm attaching that photo too.
Just in case -- I am NOT selling this bass; it still plays like a dream and I've been having a blast getting to know it again. I just wanted to share with you guys, since I had a hard time finding info on my exact model/config.
Sid Fang, I don't know if you're still active here on the forums, but I'd love a number for the Status Register! It's been great finding my bass' long-lost relatives.

Do you use strap locks on your other basses? I have them on all of my basses and on my straps, so my straps will only work with strap locks. I removed the originals from my Streamline and put Dunlops on there as well.
Do what works for you.
I use the Ernie Ball locking strap which won't work with this oversized button. Just wanted an opinion of whether these buttons are kinda like strap locks themselves.

T-Basses are so good! Been playing everyday since I got mine. Mine is 2021 too!
I'm still on the lookout for a stealth 5, but this will hopefully scratch the itch for a bit.
Okay, so I didn't gig it as it really needed a good setup to my preferences.
Gave it a good setup (the truss reod works exceptionally well, that was one of my concerns) and it's a pretty amazing bass. The pickups being splittable really give it a ton of versatility. Super punchy. It's also a little more teal in person. has some more green in the color that just doesn't photograph well.
Only downside is it's pretty heavy. 10 lbs, 10 oz. Might only play one set with it and use other basses for the other sets. We will see.
