They may not all drop at exactly the same time, but the way things are looking they may end up pretty close together.Man if you drop the Furthermore, SVBT II, and the Grand Slampegg all at the same time, my brain will be happy but my wallet will be very upset with you
I'm very happy with the sound and functionality of the Grand Slampegg right now, but there are some usability and reliability things I'm working with, namely mounting the 6SL7 in such a way that it stays where it is inside the box while still giving the user the ability to swap the tube. My brilliant wife actually came up with an idea that I like, and the revised boards are on order, the next prototype will probably be around the end of the month.
The SBVT II prototype pictured above arrived Monday, and it sounds freaking incredible. Not to pat myself on the back, but this thing absolutely nails the SVT tone. I've been pushing to get Tarantula going so I still need to do more testing on this to make sure output levels are good on both 1/4" and XLR and that usability is where I want it to be, then I'll do an enclosure design and look at finalizing it.
Furthermore is a lot. It's a freaking lot. I had the design 95% drawn up months ago, I just needed to pull in the last 5% and do the circuit board layout, which all happened this week and boards have now been ordered. This will be the first full-function prototype, including the tube preamp, 3-band EQ, variable-frequency HPF, line in, headphone out, and D.I. out. Obviously there are a lot of things I've never done before so there will be A LOT of testing and most likely some tweaking before it's production ready, but I finally got it to a point where it's moving.
