Is the SBVT 2 going to be geared more towards bass? Isn’t the OG SBVT geared for guitar? I thought the Furthermore or GrandSlampegg was going to be the SVT pre?

SBVT II is of course going to be geared for bass. I'm sure it will sound good on guitar as well, but I promise EVERYTHING I make is designed primarily for bass.

Grand Slampegg is the Ampeg B-15N preamp, Furthermore is an original clean preamp design that is not Ampeg-based.

As a tube pedal, Underground Accelerator requires a high amount of current to operate correctly. I recommend a 9-12VDC power supply capable of delivering at least 400mA. Using less than this can damage the power supply and/or the pedal.

I would go with the cioks 7 but I’m trying to save some scratch. Currently using a 1spot on my small board but use a CS-12 on my big board.

Truetone's site (CS6 – Truetone) claims that the CS6 can support up to a total draw of 1600mA from all of it's inputs. It seems that as long as the combined current of all of your other pedals doesn't exceed 1200 mA you should be ok.

I use a CS6 with a London Underground, and it has been flawless in operation for about a year thus far. Heats up the tube fully within seconds; run the LU off its own isolated 500v tap, which is more than enough.

I presume you mean 500mA tap and not 500V
The CS6 can run 2 pedals with up to 500mA each at 9V DC, that's outlet 1 & 2

I run a CS6 powering a tuner, HX stomp XL, and neptunium without issue

Well, 500v are surely "more than enough", so that's not a wrong statement, either.

I received my MORE today. I did a quick a to b to c comparison. Sure warms things up to my ears.

Nash PB-63 w/ Old TI flats tone off> Broughton HPF > MORE > HX Stomp (IMA Foundations) > UA > iRig (lol) > GarageBand (lol)

HX Only
HX > UA
MORE > HX > UA

I apologize for the above formatting. I’ve never posted audio clips here before. Im also not an engineer. The levels might me kinda squirrelly. MORE is at noon.

Thanks for this, I didn't realize that it is that big a difference (from the #s not from personal experience) between the AU and AT. And AU and AX.

Having said that, my Finally v2 starts to get gritty around 9:30-10, and I like less vs. more, so can only imagine at AT at 2 o'clock.

I think about that too but also that nice clarity would be gone possibly... idk I gotta order some tubes haha.

@Btbp @jmmyoh Not sure if it helps move the scale at all for either of you, but I have my 5751-equipped Sushis set to about 1 o'clock (or just past), and at that setting I only get a touch of breakup when I hit the strings as hard as Geddy Lee. Otherwise, they stay a nice, thick (thiccc?) and saturated clean sound. You can push any lower gain tube even further up the sweep than that, and probably still avoid any noticeable grit or breakup.

FWIW I use reasonably low output passive basses.

Don't forget that you want the sweet spot between 12 and 3 at the most, you don't want to crank it to 10 to get to the best sound out of it because then if you play softly or another instrument with less output you will not get there.
You always need some left in the tank as a safety margin.

There are not enough slots in the box that we can see that glorious tube through, I would love to see 5 slots like the big brothers with 2 tubes.
Even the MORE with 2 tubes only get 4 slots per tube, is this some form of discrimination against the 125B boxes.
The 125B's are going to end up with an inferiority complex if we can't correct this injustice.

Interesting.... They USED to have 5 slots; both my LU and (pre-EQ toggle) UA have the full compliment of visuals. Wonder when the Sushi chef made the aesthetic swap?

i think the change happened when Nathan went with the tube bases facing the top of the enclosure.
my more and UA have 5 slots. so they're obviously before the redesigned the PCB and enclosures.
