IMHO, More provides MORE of what you describe for some boards depending on what tonal goals are desired.
On other boards, not so much.
Eg, I wouldn't necessarily think that More would make that big of a difference on this board, but it does (at least to my ears).

i bought MORE when they first came out and at the time, i thought it was a bit too subtle so i sold it. I bought another one to replace it and after playing thru it a lot more, i really like what it does to my overall tone, so it's a keeper
From memory (because I didn't own them simultaneously), IMO Single Slice without any compression mixed in does pretty much the same thing as More.
Really enjoying the UA into the Neptunium. I find the eq’s have VERY different effects and being pre and post overdrive they really affect that in different ways as well. Still figuring it out.
Neptunium EQ is way more drastic and frequency specific while the UA is softer more general eq.
I am shopping for some tubes and I came across this site, it has sound demos of the different 12AX7 tubes they sell.
It's only guitar demos but with clean Fender or dirty Marshall tones, I thought it might be useful to someone here.

I loved my More, and use it with a class d amp that doesn't have a tube front end. It did well,in my main band.
My other gig is ampless weekly house gig, and I have a separate smaller pedal board for that and it has a Finally, and I love that particular tone the most as I got more character.
More is equipped with a 12AU7 and a 12AT7. I recently started playing more with tube rolling the More, just the 'input' side. Another 12AT7 suprised me how much of an animal it became, but was too overdriven sounding.
I then put in a 12AY7 and I feel it puts it right on the heels of my Finally, I really love the result.

I have both sat on my desk to do a quick A/B using my Dingwall Super P. Without any compression and both set up for unity gain, there is very little to choose between them, i think More sounded a tad more open with greater harmonic content bringing out the top end in detailed yet warm manner. You could say that More gives you a little more than than the SS in the tone sweetening dept.
I'll probably move the Single Slice on at some point (mainly coz I just don't seem to gel with compressors in general) but I'd like to A/B with an LA1A at some point (along with More and/or a Doc Loyd DLA 2A, I'm probs not gonna drop £1000+ on a compressor, even if it does look cool AF!), but if I didn't have a More, then I'd definitely use it as a tone sweetener.
I use the Yellow submarine (Zeibek) to bring more bottom end to the Blue submarine's (Ictineo) tone.
IIRC, it was a pleasant accident (hey, what would happen if I used two submarines on a board).

Note to self: check volume knob rotation on yellow sub (volume is actually at 25%).

I use the MORE as the final stage to my pedal board giving that tube special sauce as well as a handy volume control, this works great into an amp, powered speaker or direct to the PA. To my ear it has the quality of adding luster much like a hi-fi tube power amp would. At one time I sold and installed McIntosh high end stereos and the MORE brings some of that quality to my bass rigs.
Run it exactly the same myself. Tone enhancer and volume control!
My question was basically how effective is it behind a tube tone enhancer, in this case a Slampegg.
MORE add a bit of luster to any signal chain it follows. To my ear it is always a cumulative thing where every choice make some contribution either positive or negative, the MORE is always a pleasant positive
a quality that cannot be described or named easily but once heard or tasted it will be missed in any recipe or signal chain.
