I think it's accurate to say PMLE is like a "bare bones" version of Venus Z. PMLE doesn't have the bypass options for either output, Venus Z has bypass switches for both outputs. PMLE has all SMD MLC capacitors, Venus Z has all through-hole film capacitors. Venus Z has the same switchable HPF as Neptunium and Grand Slampegg, PMLE does not have a HPF.

Otherwise it is the same preamp. Same circuit, same operating voltages, same tube.
Aren't the EQ frequencies a little bit different for higher mids and treble?

One of the most common comments I get on Venus Z is "I didn't realize how small it was". It's bigger than PMLE, but it's not huge. It's the same size as Black Eye II/JC Emerald, Greenhouse/Grand Slampegg.
Honestly, you really need to add one more picture the the reel for each of your "larger" pedals, showing them next to one of your smaller ones.

Everyone that's ever used an effects pedal is intuitively familiar with the size of a 125B and can recognize one at a glance; but most people aren't as familiar with the 1590BB, and can't really picture or identify one at a glance... even though you list the dimensions, I wouldn't be surprised if most people mistake all your "larger" pedals for 1590XXs.

Humans are visual creatures, adding comparison shots would probably reduce your customers' subconscious resistance to purchasing your non-125B pedals by a good amount.

Just wanna say, while people are talking about the PMLE and Venus Z... I'm still loving the Venus X I got in the classifieds a while ago, using it over the jad freer Capo, origin sv, shift line Olympic, grand slampegg, and neptunium/nobelium on my main board

It's just a great sounding preamp that takes drives and other pedals in front of it very well. The only issues I have is that the output on the red/gain side is very high via the 1/4" out unless it's turned down all the way (I turned the volume taper pot inside down a bunch, too - maybe I'm doing something wrong?), and I wish the xlr out had a separate volume like the neptunium or PMLE.

That last point kinda makes me want to try the PMLE, but it'd be insane to have both that and the Venus X haha... So for anyone on the fence, I guess what I'm saying is, definitely pick one of the PMLEs up in this next run!

Well I have a confession to make.

In March when I was ordering parts for Per My Last Email, I wasn't paying attention and ordered 30 enclosures but only 20 circuit boards, and that's why there were only ever 20 units made. But over the last month or so I've been cleaning out the workshop and am trying to free up some shelf space, so I ordered 10 more circuit boards for PMLE.

Would you guys be mad if I listed 10 more of these for sale?
Will any of the 10 have a foot switchable bypass in place of the DI and an added gain control?

I just acquired a "More" pedal used from a local shop. It's in Excellent Condition but I am replacing the tubes which seem to be older. Question....do these ship with the AU7 in the right hand "Buffer"" slot and the AT7 in the left hand "Gain" slot when looking at the back of the pedal with the cover off?

I know enough about electronics engineering to say that sushi can’t. Swapping those features would take an overhaul of the circuits inside. Therefore it doesn’t make business sense to add those features for this set of pedals.
Oh, I am very aware that what I’m asking for would require a redesign. I just like to occasionally remind Nathan of the features I would want if he were to ever consider another design spin.

These 10 units were built because I had extra enclosures from the previous batch, so these 10 are identical to the previous 20.

Does the new PMLE come with a red LED behind the tube to match the box paint? I love the purple in my Np pedal, but does it clash with the red paint?
Nope, purple goes in everything and I personally think it looks good with the red.

12AU7 should go in the Gain slot and 12AT7 should go in the Buffer slot.
