I hated the VT Bass back in the day. Fliptop, Slampegg (either variant) or P-15 are better choices for a B-15. For SVT, you have other options. Depends what Ampeg sound you're chasing.

I was thinking both. I have the SVP-PRO preamp, looking for something similar, but pedal based.
I was looking at the Slampegg to cover the B15 side of the house. I like to have options.
I've tried a bunch and I like the VT, but it lacks some of the depth of the preamp.

Scored a used PA last month that just arrived today. Pretty sweet! Thinking I may change my March (now Feb?) order from a Slampegg to an X series version, just for the variety.

I'm in a quandry over this myself, I have a March drop standard Slampegg on order, and already have SV-Pre, Fliptop and SuperStack, Monocomp, and want my SushiBox pedal to be something different from or to compliment any of these.
I may want to change it to a Slampegg X or PA X if I don't go another way and make it either a Echosaurus, Robot Butterfly or DeepDish. For my first SushiBox pedal at least, the last three are all very attractive for me. Heck all of the SB pedals are....
I have VT Bass DI that I currently use with a Linden. I use the EQ on the Linden and the Drive and Character controls on the VT. I really like the tone I’m getting when used together. Much better then either pedal alone. I have a Slampegg X on order which should ship the end of this month. I want to see if a tube preamp will make things even better. I will let you know when I get my Slampegg.

Quick developmental note, I had posted a while ago about my Optipus Compressor that I was working on, no shared DNA with Deep Dish besides using the same vactrol for the optical part of the compression, but I was getting ready to give up on it because I made some fixes and it just got worse.
Well in the big compressor comparison thread somebody posted a link to the Florence 1176 compressor user manual which features a schematic of the compressor (albeit a "sterilized" schematic), and lo and behold, it has a lot of similarities to what I was trying to do with Optipus! So looking at their schematic helped me realize what to fix, and Optipus is back on my list of things to get going in the next few months. It won't be a replacement for Deep Dish by any means, but it will be a smaller, simpler, less expensive tube/optical compressor.

My neighbour texted me yesterday to say he saw a delivery guy “throw a package into my yard and drive off”. Went to check it out and sure enough... didn’t even bother to open the gate. This has never happened before (that I know of). Hopefully it’s not a new trend.

my parents have been proud of me since 2017 Oh and just so everyone knows all January enclosures have been milled, with the new CNC if I have all the files ready I can mill 40 enclosures (42 actually) in 2 days. It helps that my day job has me working from home so I can throw some boxes on the machine, go to work, then change them out every hour or so during the day

Yikes, agreed. My oldest daughter often gets after me for my verb choices, most notably "hop" or "jump" instead of "go," and "throw" or "toss" instead of "put."We’ll put this in the “unfortunate word timing” folder, eh.
