The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

I was about *this* close to seeing if I could switch my Slampegg to the metallic black, but after that photo of the matte black, I think I'm going to stick with it (and the silver knobs, purple LED)... the idea was sort of to mimic the look of the black tolex/silver Ampeg look.

But if you find a Candy Black before the November builds start, I'd probably start second guessing that decision... lol

Well apparently there's a candy sparkly black, so it's the best of everything :p Going to have to pick some of this up: Invalid Link Removed

Honestly I would totally be fine live streaming every second of the building process, it's just that most of it would be boring as hell; I love keeping people in the loop because I have a lot of fun being the loop :P And I absolutely have a breaking point, but i know 20 pedals in a month isn't it ;)

Okay, those are both pretty sick. I'm thinking the matte black/silver will stick for the Slampegg, and that Rainbow's End would be perfect for a Particle Accelerator build.

A wise move, I think. I've seen other builders go under because they couldn't manage the demand vs. supply.

Alright, finally done powdercoating for October, I'll get started lasering tomorrow. And in case anyone is wondering about the bright pink in the back, I'll do any color if you pay for the powder :P

That would require a fiber laser, I have a CO2 laser, which can't do metal by itself. One thing I have experimented with is spraying powdercoat on the enclosure then lasering it instead of curing it, so the unlasered powder just washes off and you're left with powdercoat artwork bonded to the raw aluminum.

I've already had a couple messages about it, I guess it's happening :P I'll get the powder ordered in the next week or so, shoot me an email with your order number and I'll get your color changed over. And I may as well open that up for anyone in November, December or January. I don't want to add a ton of new colors and get overwhelmed, but rainbow's end is happening for sure.
