The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

Hey everyone, another quick March batch update (because you guys seem to like that sort of thing ;) ):

After almost 2 weeks of 14-18 hours a day (but taking sundays off) my basement is almost done. Framing is 100% done and drywall is 95% done, and my parents are heading home today. My workshop is a mess as it became the default throw-everything-here space, but this afternoon/evening I will get it cleaned up and shift into high gear to get the March batch finished.

3/4 of the enclosures for the month are currently finished, and 1/3 of the circuit boards for the month (literally Westinghouse) are finished, so I have a sizeable dent in the work already, and I'm going to do everything I can short of working myself sick to get everything done by tomorrow and shipped April 1st.

Thank you all for your patience (even begrudging patience), I know waiting longer for gear isn't fun, but I really needed a better option for organizing my workspace and having a finished room instead of just a jumbled corner of an unfinished space is going to help a lot.

This seems like a time where "go slow to go fast" applies. take care of yourself

That's generally the same take my wife has on how I work on things. She won't stop me from staying up late to work on things, but when my eyes are swollen and it affects how I well I function she intervenes and forces me to sleep. Always nice to have someone that takes care of me better than I take care of myself :P

It was pretty good, low-key, there was only about 30 people there including the other bands. No pics or videos that I'm aware of unfortunately. My wife and parents came, but so did my kids, so the adults were too busy wrangling kids to get a camera out :P

If it helps, I can wait. I'm out of town and won't be back until the 3rd, and deliveries will be a few days after that. Purple PA :)

Black Eye is soft clipping, as are almost all of my pedals. Tubes by themselves without any solid-state device will always be soft clipped.

The only hard clipping pedal I have is Lab Rat, which technically gives both as it hard clips before the tube stage, but that pushes the tube stage into a soft clipped drive as well.

I like working late at night to get things done, but it's also pretty easy to talk me out of it when I'm tired. I was planning to stay up late last night in an effort to start catching up, but I never cleaned my solder stencils after last month, so I got a little done then cleaned my stencils and went to bed. Right now I'm at:

Powdercoating - 100%
UV Printing - 50%
Board Assembly - 50%
Final Assembly - 0%

I'll try to post regular updates to keep everyone in the loop, and I'll note the people that are open to pushing back shipping and hold off on those until later.
