The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

So I'm ordering parts for May builds, and I'm looking at my knob supplier:

Silver: out of stock
Gold: out of stock
Green: out of stock
Blue: out of stock
Red: out of stock
Pink: out of stock

I'm hoping he gets some in soon, but he's been out of a lot of these for two months now, so I may have to send more "are you willing to change your knob color choice" emails this month. I love offering options, I love how things turn out with more options, but supply chain has been getting worse and worse, I can't keep dealing with this.

Thanks to @Sonicblaze I was able to track down a handful of blue knobs from another supplier, so I cleared out their entire stock (31 knobs). I now have enough black, blue, gold, silver, and purple to cover May orders, just missing red and pink.

...great and I have TWO pedals in the May order :rollno::rage::sour::mad::confused:

...but I ordered both with BLACK KNOBS! :):D:laugh:;):woot:

I found an old custom Loooper pedal ( loooper.com - hopefully someone picks up this business again) that I haven't used in a few years and made my own Spacehouse. The wet/dry blend knob adds in some interesting characteristics, and I can get a very multi-amp feel out of my AG-700. Next step is to run this into my old SWR SM-400 and see how she likes it.

FWIW the looper is completely passive, the power is only for the LEDs.

I'll eventually put it on a pedal board and make it look clean and pretty. But I'm really glad I had this lying around.

Of course, now I really want to hear a Particle Accelerator into a Westinghouse, just to hear what that tone stack would sound like. Particle House? London House? Sunday House? Dr Wattson's House??

I'll let someone else go there....

My imagined/intended use for the Westinghouse seems to be supported by my initial encounter. Tested at the end of my board, into my PJB Session 77 practice amp, eventually landing in the effects loop of my LWA-1000, along with my fDeck HPF and Keeley limiter. It will be always on, always higher voltage. Minor microphonic “ting” when the foot switch turns on. For me, inconsequential. And it sounds good too, subtle, in a tasty fashion. If I ever need to re-amp a sterile track, Westinghouse will be a contender.

You don't get any unwanted distortion running it in the FX Loop of the amp? If so, that's great news! Can't wait to try it.

Oh and I forgot to mention, remember the failure enclosure I had a couple days ago? I milled it flat and re-drilled the holes, tried a print on it to see how it turned out. It's now the King Nothing in the top left corner there. I'll get close up shots of it later.

I have a May slot but I don't think I've received a "change of" email but I'll check my spam.In any event I care little about the knob color.Anything that gets my Sunday Drive x to me fastest is ok with me.

I haven't sent the email out yet, I'll probably do it in the next day or two.
