Yes....I know. It solves all of the world's problems, and even makes you a sandwich. I've got a Strymon Zuma - not exactly junk....powers 2 of my pedals at 18v and supplies 500ma to 9 outlets. Problem is mainly that the DC7 can't replace it by itself....as you said, I'd have to also get a 4. I still may end up going that route, but I'd be basically buying 2 new power supplies just to run one pedal that cost half as much as them. The Zuma has perfectly handled every other thing I've needed.

Not yet, I did just order One Spot like power adapter from Amazon that will get here tomorrow just to be sure I can play with the pedal on Saturday....but yeah, if I find the 500ma doesn't cut it, I'll probably go ahead and go with a current doubler.

...and I actually have a y cable to power 2 pedals off of one outlet (was powering 10 pedals with my Zuma at one point)....so I could technically split that back out from the current doubler with a low power pedal. So I'd still get 2 pedals from 2 outlets....those 2 just wouldn't be isolated.

This (the 2200) CIOKS 2200 SERIES ADAPTER FLEX (WHITE) cable doubles the mA. (I’m using one for my LA-1A). The voltage is controlled by the switches of course.
The 8800 takes one outlet and turns it into 2 so effectively halving the potential mA depending on what you have plugged into each end.

Um....pretty sure that is a voltage doubler. @kranahan is correct - the 8800 doubles current. And I'm pretty sure it'd be physically impossible for a simple cable to double the current without using 2 ports....unless the cable has it's own solar array or something.

The 2200 uses 2 ports and has one outlet.

Edit: Both outlets are set to 12v/500mA. At the single outlet from the 2200, I have 12v/1000mA, which is what the LA-1A needs.

Both the 2200 and 8800 have two male ends and one female end - format is the same. 2200 doubles voltage (so you can take 2 500ma 12v ports and get 1 500ma 24v port) - the 8800 doubles current (so you take 2 650ma 9v ports and get 1 1300ma 9v port). The 2200 wouldn't be able to power your LA-1A.

Well, I guess you can debate all you want, but the CIOKS website says otherwise. I'm literally quoting their descriptions - wasn't trying to argue, just stating the actual written facts of the products.

Edit: you're actually right on which is series and parallel....just wrong on what that does (current vs. voltage). 2200 is indeed series - but running in series doubles voltage, not current.

Or, you could keep the Zuma and just add a DC-4. The DC-4 will power two SushiBoxes, cause you know you won’t stop at just one.
