The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

I think hitting the actual 5 frequency points on the SVT-CL would be a good thing for a "sound-alike" pedal, and then you've got room to sneak in some in-betweens as well.
A frequency point in the 700-800 territory is pretty essential for me personally.
Oh weird, I looked at the Ampeg frequencies briefly and saw I got close to most of them, but I don't have an 800 on there. Ampeg has 220, 450, 800, 1.6k, and 3k. I used Ampegs inductor values but just kind of guessed on cap values when I was doing the design, I'll go back and adjust to cover the Ampeg frequencies. Also to answer a question I've had a couple times, I am planning to start printing frequencies on the pedal instead of just the numbers, so you won't need to look at a chart.

My current SVT preamp pedal might as well be fixed mids freq at about 750 Hz. :p

Yeah unfortunately 800 is the most used, that I've ever seen, they all had it except the V4 I think. Honestly a sweep from 700-950 would satisfy most out there, for getting that cut thru edge
 
Number 006 present and accounted for.
This was easily the fastest Sushi Box delivery that I’ve had. I guess customs has given up on flagging the boxes with the funny tape on them.

I'd gladly wait a little more for my incoming SBVT (September batch i guess) to get this 800Hz position. Will they include this mod ?

As side-note, would find a 300Hz position or so super handy as well, esp when stacking the SBVT with B15 pre's recreations.

Would it be possible and/or practical for a current SBVT user to change out the #5 position 672 Hz cap to one that would provide about 800 Hz himself?

He mentioned on the previous page its possible, I think he's going to look into it

I'm going to look at the numbers in the next couple days to change some of the frequencies to include values that make sense, and I can post what the value changes will be for those interested. I see no reason not to include this for August builds onward, so I can definitely have it in September.

All the capacitors involved are 0805 size, so if you have any experience with SMD soldering it should be a piece of cake. I'll post what changes should be made and can let everyone know where to find the components.
 
My wife says I'm not allowed to work on pedals until I install a ceiling fan, so I may not have any exciting news for a bit.

I actually already installed one today, but it was in a room that was wired for a ceiling fan so not long. This room doesn't have any electrical in the ceiling, just an outlet connected to the switch for a lamp. So it's going to take a bit longer and involve a lot more holes in the walls and ceiling.
