The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

VERY curious how it sounds.
Did you place the EQ pre-gain or post-gain?
Trying to remember now, that was hours ago :P I know tone control on the original was post LM308 gain but pre tube gain, if I remember right I moved the baxandall stack to the very end with a tube output buffer after the tube gain stage.

Then sign me up for a HWLR!

It's funny.
After trying so many dirt pedals, and hearing so many nuances between them, I find it a little humorous that I find a preference between pre or post gain EQ, and could identify them by sound/feel.

PDR= Doc Lloyd Photon Death Ray. One of my most favoritest compressors ever. (I know the question was already answered, but oh well).

Just realized I had posted this in the wrong thread, that was weird :p

So I was thinking about doing a Dr. Wattson/JC Emerald shootout, and I can't seem to find my Dr. Wattson. I keep all the pedals not on ny board on a couple shelves, and DW is not there. Weird.

So things are getting a bit weird down in Sushi land?

Just so ya know, I don't have your Dr. Wattson.

But I am waitin' for one. :D

If you find it, I’d be very interested in hearing that.

Confession, I didn't like the Fluffy Kitten at first. I couldn't figure it out and got frustrated so I put it in its box on the shelf. Well pulled it out so I could have another flavor of filth next to my duality and decided to see what I could dial up with the Smoke Signal and FK and I'm in love with it now. Glad I gave it another shot.

I've been talking about building different nano boards to plug and play. Picked up a third and got to work on it today. I'm going to be buying a 4th soon and using it for modulation pedals. This might even evolve into a switcher and 5 of these Nanos. I really want a Sushi roll.

I found it, turns out it had fallen off the shelf in between my bass cab and my drumkit.

So as I was working on enclosures tonight I had a thought about JC Emerald and Sunnday Drive, neither of which I sell a lot of and both of which I was considering discontinuing. I want to try giving them the UA treatment. The circuits are really similar, I want to combine the aspects I like of both into a new preamp and get rid of both. Sunday Emerald? Emerald Drive? I don't know, I'll come up with something.
