Today was a pretty good Mail day...

If I can find the power supply to my power supply, I'll wire up board #2 tonight! If I can't find it, I'll hafta order one to get #2 wired up. If that happens, I'll just take the Noble off of #1, drop the SBVT and the Finally on there, and have a blasty blast! Either way, I'm gonna have some fun tonight!

Yeah, since I don't use a regular bass amp, I use my Noble as a preamp/tone shaper as well as a DI. It, somewhat, simplifies things for me, since all my tone shaping is on my pedalboard. That's why you see Noble EQ usage. The SBVT and the Finally are both going to be doing what the Noble does on the 2nd board. That's why I think a HWUA/HWF are on the April horizon, LOL!

I'll get something recorded, but it may take a few days to get that done. ;):thumbsup:

The Echosaurus is so versatile and really feels like an old analog tape or oil drum multi head delay to me without all the noise, love the doppler sounds as well as the artifacts of changing speed and swells and age plus the full bandwidth that was missing on the old machines. I know it is a digital algorithm but it is a very well done one and BiG Kudos for @Sushi Box FX for offering something so very cool at such a fun and affordable price. I've used mine in several situations for adding effects and it was my secret weapon in the mix.

Sausage from Green's Sausage House in Zabcikville. I usually have some of their Smoked Beef & Pork Sausage in the freezer ready to rock as needed.
I use a coarse ground corn meal from Barton Springs Mill and my Pop's recipe. No Hot peppers I don't handle those as well as I used to, but do sometimes make a loaded Cornbread with corn, onions, sweet peppers and cheese.

Alright so I stopped watching this thread for a few months and now I’m back in. So I am thinking of selling the Westinghouse and in my search efforts here came across a post on a sale item in which it stated that on the website they were discontinued and that Nathan was buying them back. I went to the website and that pedal isn’t even in the archives and is not mentioned anywhere else. I attempted to search this forum but was just finding old posts regarding issues with the ef86 tube. Just want to know what the best course of action is as I am not up to speed on what is preferred in these here parts.

A little power supply experience to share with y'all. I have a Cioks DC7 with a Cioks 4 expansion on my main board, but when I am trying out new pedals, I don't like to have to mess with rearranging my main board, so I often use a Cioks DC5 for trying out new pedals (off the board). I had been using a parallel adapter to run two 300 mA outputs from the DC5 (I think at 9V, but pretty sure I tried 12V, too) to push 600 mA, which I thought would be enough. Several of my Sushi boxes ran just fine on the DC5. However, some of them didn't perform quite as I expected.

So, I recently picked up a Triode Vision (cool tube box in its own right!), and Grayson recommended this super cheap (under $9) power supply that puts out 12V and 1600 mA. I tried this power supply with my Sushi's, and boy, howdy! My "problem" pedals really came to life! I am so totally thrilled with this supply (which I fortunately ordered two of) and wanted to share the info. Shipping was cheap and fast.

Many of you probably already know much more than I with regard to how best to power your Sushi Boxes, but I just wanted to share this positive experience. :thumbsup:

I know Nathan said you can’t harm anything by playing with the bias pots, but in my brief foray with the plastic tweaker, I conclude there’s really nothing to be gained. Save yourself the trouble.
I can also confirm you get plenty of bottom end with the gain up past 1 or 2 o’clock, below that there is a significant thinning. Cool sounding pedal.

I was literally just getting ready to ask a question about power supplies and Sushi Box pedals. I'm using a Strymon Zuma(9x 500mA) and I plugged each of my SB pedals into an isolated output. I let them warm up for a few minutes before I started messing around, and I had to crank both of my SB pedals to get any usable volume. It sounds good, but the output is still kinda low.

Is my power supply the issue?
