As I’ve spent more time with the Fuzzy Kitten I find that it excels at stacking. Even with the gain about maxed, it triggers envelope filters really well. I can play the filter by touch in a very specific and dynamic fashion. Not what I would expect from such a gnarly, gated, distortion.
Currently it’s placed before my RML Electron Fuzz, Jext Telez Dizzytone, and Damnation Curmudgeon 2, it does great things when goosing the input nozzle on each of these.
It didn’t wow me right off the bat, but it’s establishing a firm foothold in my heart.

This is curiously close to my experience with my Fuzzrocious Lil' Fella. I'd dialed in an "easy" setting quickly using like 1/4 of the knobs, then had some struggle for a while figuring out how to blend its gain stages in a way I'd find pleasing. Then I did just that (its Tone setting is kind of a tilt EQ, and those can be a whole lot of fun on bass when placed appropriately as in that pedal's case, or... if it's possible... with a variable/parametric centerpoint... not hinting at any pedal builders in this thread or anything)

It also happens to stack incredibly well with my Particle Accelerator, or maybe the Particle Accelerator just loves a dirty, gainful input... esp with an extra Linden EQ shaping stage between them.

Am I spoiled? I'm probably really spoiled.


Also I'm weighing, once I stabilize enough to start a third pedalboard (you need as many boards as basses...right??), well, I'll need another stack-friendly drive. And I'm a cat person, so hey........

I have mine before my Genzler 4 on the Floor, and I also put the Southampton Fifth Gear I picked up today after it. Sounds great before those two pedals, and before a couple drives on my Helix. It’ll also be before the Sashimi Fuzz that’s being delivered whenever USPS decides it’s time for me to have it.

But where it really sings is before the wah in my Helix and after my Xerograph Deluxe. I’m able to nail a Rob Trujillo-esque “For Whom the Bell Tolls” sound out of it.

And using it with the DA Loop Blender really makes it more usable across its entire gain range. (Hint hint….Fluffy Kitteh V2 with clean blend)

Well I always troll my guitar mates that bass is better in stereo so now that you have stereo jacks are we talking about stereo tube pedals?

Lol nope. That would require twice as mamy tubes. Using stereo jacks on my mono circuits just means if anything you get to feel an extra *click* when plugging in.

The limited edition HWSH is bigger than the regular SH, but the "production" HWSH will be the same size as the regular SH.

Extremely flexible on guitar and bass, and frankly a solid contender for my favorite bass dirt pedal. Really beautiful low end response now. Excited to get this boxed up so I can audition it for my personal board.

No Ampegg DNA in this one, just a Rat with a baxandall stack and a tube output section. The toggle switch is a clipping diode selector, switches between silicon (1N4148), LEDs, and no diodes.

ah... the baxandall / james stack is the heart of the B15... and for me, the Slampegg is so far, my fav Sushibox device. The booty on tap! The articulation with booty. For me... Slampegg is a thing of beauty... In reality a pair of SlampeggX on a switch may be the thing. One clean and one wound up...
