I wanted to post the "Get Some" clip from FMJ but realize some may not appreciate the cruel satire.
....just dropping a note to say I am very happy with my Glass Butterfly. I waited until I had really put it through its' paces and heard it with multiple basses and in conjunction with multiple other pedals before posting this. The FX are very musical and tweakable, and the onboard mix knob allows titration of the desired amount of modulation. Even with the mix knob at max dry signal, tube flavour shines through. Very, very sweet, indeed.
Yeah I pulled all the DIY PCBs temporarily while I reorganize things. I have a revised version of the Black Eye board that will be going up, and Space Heater will be removed as I will be replacing it with a DIY version of Particle Accelerator. Echo Foxtrot is probably going to stay the same at least for now since I have a dozen or so boards on hand, but when those run out I may take the opportunity to revise the board. We'll see.
No sushi boxes in sight, but this bassist is killing it to a crowd of like 12 people, half of which are in other bands. Weeknight struggles I suppose.
If Mr. Sushi ever offers you a blacked out pedal, make sure you're prepared to deal with this ;-)
The lighting in that room at the time of the photo was such that I could read a book, but not the small print on a package (without my reading glasses, ouch!).
If Mr. Sushi ever offers to sell you a HWPA though, my advice is go for it.
Friendly reminder that you still have a couple days to get into the February batch of builds. There are a lot less this month than usual, which I'm sure is due in part to having stock on hand, which was to be expected, but as it stands right now it will take me about a week to finish all the February batch builds.

Last night finally got to use the more with a HW space heater in front of it. Incredible combo. Was using my UE7’s but I post up in front of a 8x10 and it was just insane, especially with the Broughton HPF/LPF before them. Them boxes got HOT!

Playing Eagles theatre in Wabash IN. This place is killer! Great staff and the venue is beautiful! Built in 1906, and renovated back in 2019. So far 346 tickets sold. Should be a great show.

I got to use my Slampegg for the first time at a gig, it was fantastic just like what I’ve been hearing at home. Just warm, balanced bass that fits perfectly. Just set it and left it the whole night.
So a guitar player in the band I played with last night was very impressed with my sound, and also the fact that my HW UA runs at 320volts. Question.. which SushiBox pedals are more for bass and which are more guitar centric? thx
Nowadays the vast majority were designed for bass, but still work well for guitar depending on the guitarist's style. Black Eye II and JC Emerald were originally designed for guitar then adjusted to be more suitable for bass, so those are solid bets for guitarists. The guitarist in my band has replaced his old clean boost with a More, he loves that one. He's also fallen in love with Dreamcatcher, he likes using the blue channel as a clean boost into his amp for mild drive then the red channel for heavier stuff.
I also have a friend that's a guitarist that uses a Finally for recording, and also uses an Underground Accelerator as a clean boost.
My guitar board has a pair of Black Eyes, a pair of Glass Butterflies, an Echosaurus Valve, and a Space Heater, your guitarist's tastes may vary.
It is a nice little pedal. I have it loaded with the Celestion pulse and a Bergantino bass packs. Since both my gigs are IEM, I use it all the time. Works great.
