Agreed 100%. A synthy -1 octave, with the tube for the clean path, would be killer if done right. +1 would be a nice option, but the money, for me, would be for the -1 if done right.
In other news, I broke down and ordered a 2nd More. I need 1 for each of my boards so I don’t have to swap my current one back and forth.
Wow—I ordered a second MORE yesterday, too! Went with Dirty Magic/Pink/Silver knob…same reason.Yeah, I've got s'more as well.

J-u-s-t curious, but anyone ever tried MORE + MORE on the same board? Too much MORE, or more better?

Wow, lots of love for the More. If I’m using the UA for some tube warmth and character, would a More still be beneficial? Guess I’m having difficulty pinning down exactly what the More pedal does.
Just get one. We all get a commision by talking it up

If I were to retire from my day job I would certainly plan to keep making pedals as long as I am physically and mentally able, but yup I'm still young (34).
It's a clean tube warmer and boost. It's fairly subtle...brightens a bit....not a dramatic game changer IME/IMHO. I don't think it adds much to a UA in a live mix.....on a recording it all depends how finely you wanna tune things....just my .02

Another vote for tube octave. In as big as an enclosure as it needs to be in for one octave above and below, a fifth above, and dry signal. Cog Effects adds some kind of tone knob to the octave signal, that could fun.
Think all of us More users are definately wondering/or have past thought what 2 of these would sound like on a board instead of one!
While that is an impressive bass tone he will also be running a clean DI into that sound as well. Won't all be tube OD so to speak. Love Rob's bass playing! A true legend of the rock bass world. Always wanted to see STP live but never got the chance sadly. Amazing band!
The closest I’ve gotten is a More into a HW Space Heater, which then went into 1 of several different Sushi Box preamps, and ended with a Finally.
Sounds huge, feels like playing a big tube amp.
I’ve got a 3rd board which is mainly SB pedals, but I need to buy power supplies for it. I used both my Eventide Power Maxes and my Power Mini on my other 2 boards….
I used my (now your) More with my Effectrode LA-1A for a bit. It does add a tiny bit “more”, but didn’t seem worth it.
Ok so initial impressions of the Dreamcatcher with a 12AT7 in the Red side:
First it sounds great. No real tonal change at all, which is to be expected, but it does allow me to dial in the right amount of gain easier. Before it would go into heavy saturation pretty quickly, now it has just a little bit more fine control over the amount. I still have it before 12, usually at 9, just to get a little hair on it without being distorted. I think that what I’m subcontiously setting tones for is 2 different UA’s with different EQ (scooped and flat), can then adjust the gain and volume on each channel, which is nice because the scooped channel might need a bit of a volume bump to be heard.
Driving it with a Broughton Scorpion, which stacks pretty will with accentuating the highs, at least in my room. Get to try it out in practice on Monday.
