The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

Do any of you Sushi Box players like flan?

I had some of the most incredible Flan today and the "Flanlimiter" might be the limiter you see in the future.

I'm not even back on a diet yet but I can tell you this already broke it.... There's flan and then there's FLAN. The second, and more authentic, is amazing stuff. Unfortunately there's some mass produced flan that makes people think flan sucks.

Are there any plans for a demo video or audio of the Venus X now that ordering is open? I'm very interested, but @ $500, it's something I would like to know/hear more about than say, a $200 pedal that I'll just buy to try.

And yes, I know demo videos can be deceiving, but it'll at least give us a good idea of what it's capable of.

If this has been discussed and I missed it, I apologize in advance.

Paging @TonyP- for a demo...

and @Luke the Fluke the majority of the time I've had it was the Mexican version which is sweet. I'm sure there's other versions, but that's the most common where I live. Though TBH... now I'm wondering if I had a true version, or just the version the restaurants are making for gringos. I've found there's two types of Mexican food in my locale.... one for themselves, and one they serve to others to maximize profit. I prefer the more authentic variants.

Product page has been updated with the videos Tony made, forgot to do that earlier.

If anyone here wants to taste a real flan, come and visit me in Paris, I will take you to the best place. Sorry, but these american flans look a little bit like cultural appropriation. No offence. :D

Maybe it's appropriated, but if so you'll likely need to chat with our friends to the South of us. The places here in Texas where I get flan are generally places where the menu usually isn't in English, the people are awesome, and the food is wonderful.

It was just a joke.

TBH.... at least in food industry... there's lots of people who change their recipes to what sells, and not how they would eat it at home. Particularly if the local rich people aren't used to seasonings.

to turn this back to sushi pedals....

Seems like a few of the pedals would sound great adding dirt to a pedal steel guitar. I realize this is a bass forum, but has any of your bandmates tried this? Just a curiosity question.

I know! Mine was too... guess the delivery was too dry.

Honestly I didn't even know Parisian Flan was a thing until I started salivating over that picture of the flan pie. Growing up we had something similar at Christmas called egg custard pie... that one might have been appropriated... probably not as good either.
