The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

Sushi you should get that little guy trademarked so he’s like an alternate logo.
I unfortunately did not draw it and the image is on the internet for everyone to use, provided they pay the few dollars the artist asks for it.

Does the BassDude run at line level. Can I use it to push a power amp?
Absolutely and absolutely. The taper seems to sit nicely on this one though; it's easy enough to dial in a unity level signal on the low end, but it has A LOT of headroom when you turn the volume up.

I've not run a Finally but I've run a Space Heater and a UA as boosts into the FX return of an amp and those have similar topologies AFAIK, what are you curious about?

Since the Finally v2 has separate level controls, I'd be curious to see if it would drive the power amp of my Rumble 500. I figure I'd either love the simplicity or miss the EQ.

I have been using my Space Heater or UA with the tonestack disabled as boosts after a preamp of some sort (Slampegg, Elementary, UA w/ TS enabled or just in the FX loop of whatever amp I'm using). The circuit is definitely strong enough to drive the power amp if you want to go direct into the FX return; however, you'll probably want some EQ involved unless your bass is active with a preamp in it. (I have found that the Slampegg -> UA/SH combo is my favorite this week; next week who knows!).

How exciting! Just got my tracking info for my Bassdude! I am hoping that I could hear some sound samples before it arrived, but I understand that the Sushi Chef is busy with all sorts of stuff, so I am content with waiting for it to arrive.
You'll probably get sound samples before it arrives, but probably not long before it arrives.

Has anyone with a Finally run it to the effects return of an amp?
I've mostly been using mine to drive one side of a stereo power amp (gss twin sumo) but I tried it in the FX return of my Hughes and kettner quantum and it works a treat.
I've got eq options on the board (a UA among them) which I'd probably want most of the time, but the sound of bass>finally>power amp was pretty sweet.

I judge an overdrive pedal by the way it behaves right when it starts to break up. I not really interested in fuzzy tones that sound good at home but get lost in the mix. I just received my Slampegg Bee and it does pretty much what I’ve been chasing. At the edge of OD, it can still be super clean on top while the bottom gets growly. Too many pedal are backwards in this respect. I may be crazy, but it seems to drive a little more after it warms up, just like a good tube amp.

I just preordered a Nobelium, hoping a clean and warm preamp complements the Slampegg. I’m also thinking my analog “B” board might replace my digital “A” board in the near future.

Just got my UA! I think it’s going to Eb exactly what i need. The eq is touchy as I love! An the bass is super tight an punchy. I can’t believe how well that is. I’m still tryin to dial in but my Spector Euro LT with its dakrglass pre an then added to
My genzler 800 rig it had plenty of bass an clean thump but no real nice mids and cut. The UA is makingn the higher strings sing! And I think once I can turn it up in a band mix setting it’ll prob shine eveb more. It’s got a lot of bass im tryin to decide where to cut more bass. A where to pull most of it from the pre amp of the Spector has so mucb bass on tap. I basically turned down the bass on spec an cranked UA it’s pretty solid. For the price tag and the tone I’m gettitn out of just my first couple hours I think it’s goin to be a key factor in my tone Esapcilly live. It makes the ghost notes stand out big. I think it’s an always on kinda pedal it seems like except maybe to slap. It def came through better on my 2x10 vs my 1x15 I need to run my full rig to see how it goes but overall,
Great pedal, great build! An what a tone!
