The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

Just got my UA! I think it’s going to Eb exactly what i need. The eq is touchy as I love! An the bass is super tight an punchy. I can’t believe how well that is. I’m still tryin to dial in but my Spector Euro LT with its dakrglass pre an then added to
My genzler 800 rig it had plenty of bass an clean thump but no real nice mids and cut. The UA is makingn the higher strings sing! And I think once I can turn it up in a band mix setting it’ll prob shine eveb more. It’s got a lot of bass im tryin to decide where to cut more bass. A where to pull most of it from the pre amp of the Spector has so mucb bass on tap. I basically turned down the bass on spec an cranked UA it’s pretty solid. For the price tag and the tone I’m gettitn out of just my first couple hours I think it’s goin to be a key factor in my tone Esapcilly live. It makes the ghost notes stand out big. I think it’s an always on kinda pedal it seems like except maybe to slap. It def came through better on my 2x10 vs my 1x15 I need to run my full rig to see how it goes but overall,
Great pedal, great build! An what a tone!
Try running it through the FX loop with the tone stack off at some point. It's a wonderful and transparent boost/saturation pedal as well as a preamp. Or just run it in the FX return as a straight preamp. Don't forget that the bass and treble are boost only, and the mids are cut only, so "flat" on the UA is 0-10-0.

So I tried to sit down and do a really nice video of the Bassdude tonight, and it made me realize I really suck at doing videos :p I'll still get it put together if anyone wants to check it out, but it's a couple minutes of me being awkward and saying "umm" a lot, intermingled with some mediocre playing.

EDIT: also sounds like I was clipping the input to my interface the whole time. Dang. Maybe I won't post it.

Demo? I won’t need a demo. Come this Saturday I’ll be live and in person with the Dude. If someone really wants to know what it sounds like just buy one.

I still wanted to get one partially to prove to myself I was capable of doing my own demos, but it looks like I still need more practice.

I'm getting pretty decent at pictures though. I decided I'm keeping #13 for myself.

@Sushi Box FX, are all of the Nobelium builds that you are assembling going to have pink LED’s, or are you allowing purchasers to decide what color they would like?
They will all have pink LEDs. The only way I can make the LEDs fit in that spot is to use SMD LEDs, and I'd rather not stock a bunch of colors of those since they will really only be used for this project.

Can you ever get "there"??

It is my hope that one can get close enough to calm the restlessness.

I learned that it seems to be a bigger problem to understand what you really want in your sound than to actually get it. The former is requires far more knowledge and experience while the latter is more of a technical issue that can eventually be resolved given a wallet with sufficient depth.

Obviously it's situational but I think ultimate basstone is impossible to attain. The beauty though is that we can get close! Long live getting closer! :D

Well I'm a day or two late for my original plan of the end of February, but I just finished the last of the Bassdude builds that I will be doing, so the [This invalid link has been removed] order on the website is no longer a preorder and these are all in stock and ready to go.
