A Q for PM

I was reading the specs and noticed the high cut/boost on the F1 is set at 10k. I was wondering why so? (The amp will have its own voice compared to that of the LMII.) I cant wait to compare the 2 heads side by side.:hyper:



Ive requested the F1 in red. Im hoping its available,keeping my fingers crossed.

I would say thats a mistake. they have made a few on the website compared to the manuals.
Hopefully PM will help get it sorted. Im still waiting to hear if the low freq on the SA450 is 40hz (manual) or 60hz (website). Im guessing its 40hz.

I'm at Markbass HQ in Italy and I have just confirmed once and for all that the high EQ on ALL Markbass heads (except the upcoming Classic 300 and R500) is a 10 kHz shelf. The graph is in the manuals, and you'll see that it slopes up around 10 kHz, but it's not a sharp curve.

The low EQ on all Markbass heads (except the Classic 300 and R500) is 40 Hz.

I've corrected our website and future manuals will be consistent with these specs. We apologize for any confusion caused!

Cool. That's a nice treble circuit... starting the boost at a rather low freq, and then peaking but sharply dropping off above 10K. Nice.

Interesting how even though the SD800 and LMII have the same bass control shelving point, the effect is very different, I assume due to the power amp design. The SD800 really does sound like that bass control is voiced a touch higher to my ear.

All great sounding stuff. Thanks for the info!

Now, if I could get somebody to publish a PDF file or something that would tell us how to change the DI from pre to post EQ (i.e., how to exactly change that 'jumper'), I would be 100% happy instead of 99.9% happy:D

Ken, do you mean post to pre? i thought that was how the LMII comes set.
Its a very easy mod, you just move a jumper. no wires involved

There's a block diagram in the manual, but as far as I know, I figured it out by just looking inside.

If someone else doesn't beat me to it, I'll take digital pics of how to do it tonight and post.
