That is a GREAT picture. It looks like a standard 410 rig with a HUGE Skjold bass... the Elephant's Pride model
Killer pic! I'll have to try those two together. It certainly makes for a very interesting compact rig.
I just played the combo over a lunch a bit. I am in kind of an interesting situation currently, where I will probably be moving to Chicago soon, and have little reason to own a big cab at the moment. I thought I would take advantage of theperfectbass's TB discount and free shipping, to pickup something I always wanted to try.
The PJB gets to volume really quickly with the LMKII and its fairly loud, similar to the Berg HS110 I had. Can certainly rattle my apartment like any of the other smaller cabs I have had. The height and width are fairly small, but the cab is as deep as my EA NL210. Sounds best with "fuller" tones, and sure as heck reveals the flaws in your playing (of which I have many). The VLE and VPF definitely help with some of the idiosyncrasies of the cab.
Its definitely going to make for a fun practice rig for my upcoming transition. It would be fun to hear it paired with another 4b. There really is an amazing amount of bass being put out by those little speakers.

Shut up and go play a Skjold, ya bastage...But, three is almost half of seven, and if littlehorserider gets two, you will have MORE than half as many a I have (or have on the way).
Just a screwdriver to get the lid off. Maybe needlenose pliers if the jumper is hard to reach. Keep in mind, I still owe this thread real pics of the procedure... coming later tonight.gotcha, so how do i flip the jumper to the "pre" side? are there any tools required? (i told you i was clueless)

Hey, I can't blame you for not being persistent. BTW, I was just playing this bad boy AND the Marilyn this weekend through BOTH UL310's. I almost wept from pure pleasure. Man that thing is ALIVE, in a BIG BIG way!doesn't sound too bad...i'll give it a shot tonight! if my amp blows up, you can just send me the red MTD as compensation.
I can say that the pre EQ signal from my SD800 is WONDERFUL. I've played a couple of gigs within the past 10 days with serious front of house sound with some pretty top notch soundpersons. I asked them if it was OK to take a feed from the SD800 DI to try it out, versus using their DI. Both times, they indicated the signal (with the DI volume set at noon on the SD800) was clean, quite, strong, and warm.
I'm hoping that the pre EQ signal on the LMII will be roughly identical to the pre EQ DI set at noon output on the SD800... I hope, I hope

From my experience i found that the signal from my LMII was very hot with it set to post EQ but with the EQ flat. In fact like you i used my SA450 with the level control at noon and that level was, like you say, strong and clear. Using the same channel on the desk my LMII was in the red some of the time. In fact i had to turn the input level down a bit on the LMII to get the DI level a bit lower. Ive not tried it pre EQ but if you do can you let us know if there is any difference in level.
