^^ Awesome man. So what made you go for the LM-II+102P over the Combo version?

The set up that I went with sounds fuller and deeper than the combo. Slight difference, but I could hear it side by side. The combo sounded like it didn't have as much low end and was a weaker tone (not volume wise).

I actually found the exact opposite to be true when I was testing. I thought the combo was much fuller. I ended up just buying the head though and pairing it with my existing cab.

Hmmm..... I found the stack to be fuller, as did my friend and the salesman.

Oh, and I didn't pay my MarkBass stack that I just got. That's a rare piece of equipment my parents paid for. It was a gift for a few occasions put together plus for college (I'm not taking my big 4x10 stack).

Interesting. Was your reason for the F1 the size, or the different class D tone versus the LMII? I'm still struggling a bit with the SD800 (the larger version of the F1) versus the LMII sound and voicing.

I think it came to 943 with taxes n' del I think it has a base price of 864 I was surprised to see them listed in their system and wasnt paying close attention to the details

Cool! What did you not like in the 104HR? Moreso what do you prefer with the 104HF?

It`s just that I don`t like the way the lower notes comes out of a rear-ported cab in general. It`s like a surround-thing IMO, and most so if you place it near to the wall or a corner. But all of this IMO, there are plenty of cabs that are made this way, like early SWR, Eden ++.
To me the HF sounds a little bit fuller, and the HR a little bit more mid-oriented. But the HR are far more portable, and no bad cab at all. Try them both if you can.

Weight is always an issue for me with gear The lighter I can travel w/o sacrificing quality the better for me

+1 in a big way. These two designs sound somewhat different. I'll look forward to reading your A/B review if you feel like putting one up.

Thanks for your comments! It's hilarious how teeny weeny the LM-II looks on that big ole 4x10! I was probably heading towards the HF anyway. I've always preferred front ported than rear-ported cabs.
