Well I don't think I've ever been quite THIS impulsive with bass gear...
Could somebody mark the turnaround time on that?
I need to get a pic of the combination I used on a gig Saturday...
Bag End coax 1-15 topped with Bag End sealed coax 1-10 driven by LMII. Pretty sure the 1-10 coax is a custom cab, I picked it up used here on TB. Jazz trio (guitar, bass and drums). Used my new semihollow six. Real finesse gig
State of the art. Sounded amazing at low to medium volume. Every nuance came through clear as day, texture and definition were exactly what I wanted.
Kind of funny that the guitarist showed up with his latest guitar and I brought my new bass. Neither of us knew about either purchase. I thought the similarity was cool:

Last night I played in the house band for the Movement's 10th anniversary celebration at the Lincoln Theater. Hip Hop, R&B, poetry and Neo Soul hit. Used my other Brubaker six, ran the LMII throught the 1-15 and 1-12 Nahas cabs. The provided backline was an old Hartke 3500 through a questionable SWR 410. That's why I bring my own rig whenever possible. Again, amazing sound on a much BIGGER level. Room filling but controlled low end. Chords sounded great, very defined yet full. I ran to a DI then into the LMII.
All in all a nice weekend of gigs with amazing sound. I couldn't be happier with this amp.

I just gigged this past weekend with the LMII, SD800, and a Glockenklang Heart-Core. Cabs were my trusty Bergantino HT210/HT115, and for basses, I had my Skjold Custom 5, MTD 435, Sadowsky P/J 5, CIJ Fender Thinline Hollowbody, and an early Tobias Killer-B 4-string. Smallish to medium sized bar, no PA support for the bass, though drums, guitars, and vocals were all in the PA. It turned out to be a pretty loud show, on the whole, though we had initially planned on keeping it a bit quieter (which is why I didn't even run a DI to the board - turns out I didn't need it, anyway 
).
The LMII did amazingly well, I thought. It had no problem filling the entire room (I was told that it was even slamming way back in the bathrooms, which were at the far end of the bar), and I was really digging its powerful, punchy yet articulate tone. It had a pleasant degree of musical warmth, but it was very articulate from top to bottom. I also enjoyed the hint of bark/growl I could get when really digging in. In fact, I most definitely preferred it to the SD800 (though I could tell that the SD800 had more volume to offer - but again, the LMII was doing the job just fine). The SD800 also sounded very good, but it didn't have the same visceral punch to the gut like the LMII or Glock. I might have been able to dial some improvement in this regard, but I certainly wasn't able to do so quickly. I mean, it was not bad at all, and it performed just fine, but it didn't quite offer the same immediate satisfaction that I got from the other two.
FWIW, that older (now discontinued) Glock Heart-Core really rocked my world.
This model is the predecessor to the Bass Art Classic, and while it has a reputation for being perhaps the most 'true' and 'accurate' sounding Glock head, it is 'only' rated for 400w into a 4 ohm load, and I was not sure that it would be loud enough for demanding live gigs. Well, I am never one to put too much emphasis on quoted specs (and for the record, yes, I am interested in specs, measurements, etc., but for me, at least, the evaluation is not complete until I've heard something with my own ears, preferably in a live setting), and this is a case where the observed performance certainly exceeded my expectations, based upon the power rating. I never had either knob up past 10 o'clock (and mostly a good bit lower than that, since I had to keep turning down), and this head just kicked! The Glock seemed to have a lot more headroom to offer, and I certainly had to push the LMII a lot harder to get the same output. Tonally, the Glock just killed, and required very little EQ (just a dash of high end boost) to nail 'my tone.'
That said, considering the added weight (though not as heavy as the much deeper Heart-Rock, the Heart-Core is definitely of the lead sled variety), size, and added cost (I think the going rate for a used Heart-Core is about double the new price of an LMII), the LMII compared remarkably well. It took a tad more EQ, and I had to push it a bit harder, but I was able to get close to the same performance out of the LMII (compared to the Glock). It certainly had me grinnin' just as hard.
It's really hard not to be super excited about that LMII, if you ask me.

This was my first gig with that particular MTD 435 (ash/maple/wenge/wenge), and I must say, it was a near-religious experience.

Question for all you LM-II fanatics like myself.
I'm currently running my LM-II into the mighty BMS (Berg Mini Stack) and it sounds fantastic, wouldn't change a thing. I'm thinking of eventually picking up a Markbass 4x10 as the one I played in the store (which was actually a studio) sounded freaking killer, and I'd love to have one in addition to the Berg stack just for variety. My only concern would be the RMS ratings...
The Markbass 4x10's are 800 watts a piece so I'd definitely get a 4 ohm version, but do you think the LM-II would dish out enough to get the cab's juices flowing? I only played the 4x10 at low/medium volumes. The LM-II dishes out massive volume with the Bergs, I just wonder how it would go with a big 4x10?
Secondly, which 4x10? Both are the same price out here

More importantly... Nice Garage! Am I seeing things or is it deep enough to fit two cars end to end. And while we're at it... are those garage doors at the front end as well?

Two bays in the front, one in the back. A little deeper on the left side and I could park the smaller cars three deep. I originally planned on two daily drivers and a project car, now I need more space. I find car bargains like I find bass bargains.
The original design called for a rear garage door, everyone else opted for a normal door, I still have plans on building a rear garage in the backyard... someday.

I'ts a 2000 Z3 Coupe and I can get to gigs way too early. I originally was in the market for an M Coupe but when this came up and I drove it, done deal. ~200HP in this small a package is fun.
The Miata is also a very cool gigmobile... two basses in the trunk along with an amp or two, one Bag End coax 15 on the passenger seat, top down and bugs in my teeth.

I play with a LMII and a 8ohm MB104HF, plenty loud enough for my 10 piece rock/soul band. I have also owned a 4ohm 104HR, but that was not for me. Not that it was bad, just a matter of taste. You must try the HF/HR cabs, its quite a difference in sound. 8ohm or 4ohm does not matter that much, not a very big difference in volume there IMO.
LMII and 104HF is a very good rig!!
Cool! What did you not like in the 104HR? Moreso what do you prefer with the 104HF?

Where you gettin money for all that gear brother?! When I was 18 I had a Warwick Rockbass and a 15 watt combo! Damn I sound old!
I've had a job since I was 13, so almost 5 years now. The one job paid quite a bit, then it went down some, and now I have an increase in pay again from my prior job. I'm actually working 1.5 jobs now.
Oh, and I didn't pay my MarkBass stack that I just got. That's a rare piece of equipment my parents paid for. It was a gift for a few occasions put together plus for college (I'm not taking my big 4x10 stack).
