wait, what?

people still use those?

:hiding:

we'll see what the situation is tomorrow (payday :hyper:).

I may be joining the party sometime soon.
Hey, if it doesn't work out, don't forget the long eval period. Just keep it in perfect condition with all the packing and whatnot... no risk if you don't like it.

Man, this thread has given me major gas, for a LMII!

Before I commit myself completely to this little beauty of an amp, I'd like to make some things clear:

-This amp is warm, yet pretty transparent. I can dial in pretty much any sound I want to.

-This amp will bring out the characters of my bass, and not mask them with any character of the amp itself.

-This amp is useful for any style of music, from hard rock to funk.

-This amp is completely kickass

Are all of these statements accurate?

Inform me if I missed anything.

For me, yes. For you, maybe. Maybe not.

I do see that. I certainly wouldn't be considering this amp if there was not a good return policy. I imagine that it will be very different than my Ashdown, so by that i'm a little uncertain. But, all I can really do is try it out.

And speaking of it sounding good with certain cabinets, what would you reccomend? I'm looking at Aguilar GS112s or similar cabs right now.

Go for it. IMHO, the LMII is one of those heads that sounds good with most cabs... pretty cab friendly.

G3BASSIST- I use my LMII with a AGGIE GS112!!! GREAT combination. Used it last nite at a club gig with my EUB & elec.bass. IMO U have to set the gain as described in manual-even it's pretty hard to get the gain light to glow(clip)- just backed off from clipping- & the sound of the LMII seems to get chunkier & project more.
I put my 1x15" EV under the GS112 sometimes too!!! But is plenty loud simply into the 1x12" @ 8ohms!
