I have been wanting one of those for awhile now.

MrBonex said:Hey 43%,
I just took delivery of a V300H from British. My main amp is a V6 and I was looking for a back-up/small gig amp. Having the same preamp in both amps was a big plus for me.
First, compared to the V6 it's small and light! Same green rat fur cover. Appears to be well put together. I just love that v-type preamp. I really don't use much eq. Just a little boost and/or cut depending on the room.
At low volumes, it sounds almost identical to the V6. But this is just a preliminary report. I plan on doing an extensive comparison -- when I get a couple of minutes!!! I'm taking it to rehearsal this weekend, so I hope to do a report next week.
So David, did you get to check out the new line?David Benyahia said:Trace Elliot have a stand at the London Guitar Show which is on this weekend. I and urb_munki will be visiting the show on Saturday and I will happily report back on the Trace stuff.

Here's my take: Trace allows your bass to (sorry) "be all that it can be" without being clinical about it. Trace is not hi-fi. It's an approach to reproducing bass guitars with enough fidelity to let the instrument (and the player) speak with it's own voice, yet still, under any condition, be warm and musical.
I think that's why TE has such a loyal following -- as seen in this thread.
Does that make sense?
