that's what I don't understand. I guess the BIN went away when the first person bid $750.00 on it. SO I placed a pretty high bid at $1500.00 next thing I know, the guy pulled the auction.

Oh well...I'll just keep loving my V6

You can pull an auction by cancelling all of the existing bids. Too bad the original bidder tried to beat the odds by bidding.. it would have been nice to get another V8 "in the family". And, presumably, to have had a V6 up for sale.

That might be the one that DEVILMAN won on ebay a while back. As I recall, he had some issues with the amp and ended up returning it. Anyone interested in bidding may want to drop him a PM first.

A Hexa Valve in good shape is a beautiful thing, though!

Since there is potentially a rather large amount of interest, how about Devilman just posts what he found wrong with it here. Damn that reminds me how much the hexa/quadra/twin series rocks.

MAN!!!...This POS doesn't quit! This is his second try at moving this bomb after he had to take it back & reimburse me!

I won this amp a few months back & when I opened the box that was in pristine condition, that it was shipped in, I couldn't believe what I saw! The whole rear was smashed in & a pwr tube was broken clean off its socket! I plugged it in & 5 of the 6 tubes still worked. Upon inspecting the internals, it had seen many butchered repairs. It had the wrong fan installed(too small & was rigged into the originals frame). Some wires had been repaired for the pre & it was filthy dirty as all hell inside, very used & abused.

Don't expect much, since the frame is bent & one transformer sits crooked almost hitting the tube. The sliders in the pre are very hard to move & the volume pots are noisy.

I had Shane @British Audio give me an estimate for the repairs before I did send it back & the F**K who sold it to me wouldn't go for it!

So, if you're into "lemons" & like headaches, this amp & seller are for you! Just look at his user name...

...also, the seller states that the tube works(it didn't for me), & if it still doesn't, you have to match ALL the tubes in this amp(6) since there is no bias adjustment for all or for pairs. IOW, price some 6550's...

I think we need to have a TB "Save the Hexa" campaign, someone talk Shane into rescuing it and having this poor amp restored to proper condition, it deserves to be fixed . Crikey though, that is one screwed up amp.

...one more note, If you notice, he "only accepts cashier checks or money orders", WHY, because his PayPal account IS STILL suspended due to him owing me shipping charges(I called them today)! LOL! This dudes a joke & I see him starting a new account soon due to his ways...again, BEWARE...
