You can see he is in doubt...

So the other cat I've been neglecting to feature. His name is Chowzer, he is a feral cat that had lived in the neighborhood for 15 years outdoors the whole time. I've been entrusted to care for him after my neighbors who were caring for him, moved to the coast. He's been on his own all this time so he is unpettable and won't come inside, until today...

More work to do.

:)
Good on you!

I have a cat that I adopted as half of a pair. She's always been a "special needs" cat (won't let people touch her; after the first 10 years I gave up). She's about 15 now, and I think dementia is setting in. She enjoys yowling randomly at all hours. But she has had a safe home all these years, and would never have been adopted by herself.

Mine was a feral. Whoever had her before had her sterilized, but abandoned her at the apartment complex where my family lived. The managers put out the word they were going to trap and euthanise any strays they could catch. We caught her and I brought her to my house. She's not real friendly, doesn't do laps-or boxes:wideyed:-but I still like having her around.
Oh, BTW, I'm allergic to cat hair/dander. She lives in my screened porch and looks out at the birds/squirrels/bunnies/(?)and seems to be quite happy.
On top of my "not tub"(it doesn't work):

I had a small female cat that would also do this. Loved to climb. Outside she would zoom to the top of our maple trees seemingly just for the fun of it.

One of my former cats, Bob Marley (RIP) was a successful climber. When I first got my husky, Mishka, the dog wasn't used to cats and would chase him across the yard. Just before Mishka could get him, he'd run up a tree just in time.

As time went on, they made it a game. Bob would inch closer and closer to the dog before the inevitable chase/climb would ensue.

The two of them became very close friends in time, and now Mishka loves our cats.
