The UPS Store has "lost" my bass!

Oh man, that is so awesome. I love it. So happy you got it back. I would report what transpired to UPS Corporate. Regardless of whether you got the bass back, this douche did not do the right thing in any capacity, right down to there being no apology for the trouble. This dude needs to lose his franchise affiliations. He did you a favor by banning you, not that I think you'd even offer one penny more his way. Spread the word, as you have here.

.....I think I would still be talking to UPS Corporate and telling them what transpired when you recovered the bass, he needs to be held accountable in some manner for his actions and if that means losing his franchise then so be it.

+1000

That was a great wee, Sunday morning, suspense thriller read! So glad it worked out for you and I'm really sorry for your loss in not being able to use this UPS store again!

he said "just come get your **** bass.

He just shook his head and said "I don't owe you any answers. I told you not to call the cops. Now UPS corporate is pissed at me!"

I opened the case and there it was, in perfect condition. All of my internal packing was still in place. The owner started to leave, and I asked him where my refund was. He says "it's in the envelope, stupid" and then said "you're banned from my store for life!!!!"
Firstly, I'm very happy you have your bass back!

But I have to give it to you my bass playing brother, you sir are a better man than I am! I would have been in his @$$ from that first statement! Seriously woulda punched him dead in the mouth!

But, I'm glad you have the bass back!

Glad to hear you got it back.

And I think that you're right by supposing that Corporate UPS would be very interested in learning that a store owner deals their business in such a personal and non-professional way. This is seriously unacceptable.

High five, dude!

I think he was covering for someone also.
You did the right thing by applying pressure the correct way.

I think I would still be talking to UPS Corporate and telling them what transpired when you recovered the bass, he needs to be held accountable in some manner for his actions and if that means losing his franchise then so be it.

What he said. The store manager, at very least, is covering for a thief. Be sure the let UPS corporate know exactly what transpired there. That place has no business keeping their franchise.

Glad you got the bass back and that you are not done dealing with this dirt bag.

"UPS is pissed at me" - They better be. Something is fishy. If you are going to keep pushing this on the civil side, I hope the security tapes show up so you can see exactly what happened.
