The Valenti Megathread Part III

So I'm taking the plunge, here are the specs for my new build:

5 string
21 fret
35 inch scale
ash body
satin maple neck
birdseye maple fretboard
Red transburst over quilted maple
1 7/8 nut
19mm bridge
Hipshot A stye bridge
Black hardware
Nordstrand 3B preamp
Nordstrand big singles

I am really excited, I am currently playing a Dingwall ABZ and its a great bass, but I have come to realize that I wish the string spacing was wider and I will admit that playing live I have found the fanned frets to "trick" me a few times when venturing past the 12th fret. Anyway, I have heard nothing but good things about Ninos basses and I like the idea of really being able to get a bass just the way I want it......now the wait begins......

Nino told me to use a flat head screwdriver for the truss rod, I forgot to ask what size......do any of you happen to know this info? Thanks

Also use the longest you have this way when you turn it the handle of the screw driver will not make contact to the bass body and scratch your baby up.

I think this is the only pink Valenti to date right Nino? Hopefully not the last but I'll enjoy the uniqueness while it is.

How perfect: P-bass (as in Pepto-Bismol). That's gorgeous. Will it have a white parchment 'guard?

I've been a big fan of shell pink ever since I saw Dweezil Zappa's strat. Please tell me the dude's gonna put a tort on that! Looking forward to loading a pic of that P-Bass on my iPhoto. YIKES! That pair of P's right there is easy on the eyes Nino.

I went conservative with the PG. White pearloid to match the blocks which apparently is real MOP. But hey, extra pickguards are only a drive to GC away!

There really needs to be a sea foam green P there for the trifecta...

Anyone has any images of the neck heel on these basses? I am thinking of spec-ing out a 24 fret model, but I am worried about upper fret access particularly with the blocky "Fender Heel Plate" style joint usually present on Fender inspired instruments.

My basses come with a contoured heel and the there is more than enough cutaway for you to be able to comfortably reach the 24th fret with no issues.

This is what I use as well (first on #046, now on #100), and it works like a charm.
