Thanks Cliff, you know I used to have this crazy Camphor Burl, fanned fret 5 string you built that I sold when I quit playing professionally... man I miss that thing. I would love to own another Bordwell someday.

After doing my homework (for once!) and looking at all of my options, I decided to order a new Valenti. Really cool that every Valenti owner I spoke to loved their Valentis and nobody had a single negative thing to say about Nino or his basses.
I was going to go Sadowsky, MBass or Nordy, but after speaking to Nino and exchanging a few emails, I don't think I can do better than Valenti for a heavily customized modern Jazz-style 5er. His pricing is more then fair also.
Here is the spec...
S24FJ5 - 24 fret, no pickguard, 19mm spacing
Swamp Ash Body
White Burst Finish (natural center to white edge)
Maple neck with Birdseye Maple board - satin neck finish, gloss board. 34" scale.
Matching painted headstock
- 1-7/8" nut
- Asymmetrical neck profile with 16" fretboard radius
- Nordstrand Big Singles - 70's spacing
- Nordstrand 3B preamp
- Black HipShot hardware
The whiteburst is something I have wanted for years. It will look super cool (IMO) and completely unique for sure.

Great Toronto band in the pic BTW. LMT Connection is one of the best R&B/Funk bands I have ever seen. Basically the house band at The Orbit Room in Toronto (Alex Lifeson's bar).
