Well, #008 is finally recording. The first , basement version.. is direct out from a Mesa Walkabout head, into some Korg thingy.

Yet, I like the way the bass sounds , as rudimentary as the recording setup is. Nice " Marky Adams "sound, eh?

Will have a "studio" quality recording soon as well.. that signal was direct out, passive mode, but the producer was "massaging" it , so heaven only knows...

Could you tell us about the pickups (especially the 4 coil MM's)? How is everything set up for pickup selection? Blend? Series/Parallel? Active/Passive?

I've thought about two MM's and whether or not more coil combinations could be done (coil 1, 2, 3, 4, 1&2, 1&3, 1&4, 2&3, 2&4, 3&4, 1&2&3, 1&2&4, 2&3&4, 1&2&3&4) then series/parallel and also active/passive and also be able to blend them. I think it would have a ton various tones. Maybe Nino can figure out how to do it or even if it would be worth doing.

yeah i kept thinking about it and came up with this:

an on-off switch for each coil and and push-pull knobs for passive/active, series/parallel, (those could be incorporated with eq knobs) and then just add a volume and a blend knob and you're all set :hyper:

total: 4 knobs and 4 on-off switches

I was thinking of a 5-position toggle like on a MM with a 3 way mini toggle (like on a G&L) which would give you 15 positions (3 way in position 1 the 5 way gives coil selections 1 through 5, 3 way position 2 and the 5 way gives you position 6 through 10, etc). Then another 2 way mini toggle for passive/active (or a push/pull knob).

I actually opened my mouth and took a huge breath when I saw that. Like "oooohhhhhh". That's going to look stunning.
