Wow. Just... wow.

I have a Nordy Vj5 on order that is VERY similar. Trans-Coral Blue/Birdseye Maple/White pearl Blocks/Binding.

My question is: How will the bass in that Trans Blue with white pearl pickguard look with White Blocks/Binding on a Birdseye FB? Sorry for the thread derail. That trans blue bass is just so close in look and vibe, I figure I would ask for opinions about adding White pearl Blocks and binding? Feel free to PM so as to not derail the Valenti megathread.

What is that color called?

It's not quite Lake Placid Blue.. I'm going to go ahead and call that one "Bora Bora Lagoon Blue."

Man oh man! That bass is OFF the Freaking Hook! Love the White pearl against the trans blue. What is that color called? Transblue? or some sort of blue burst? Very Sweet with the Maple board! Nice Work Nino!

Thanks. I don't know what the color is called. I asked my finisher for a Blueburst that was a light Trans Blue in the center with a darker Trans Blue on the edge.

Hmm.... Personally, I think it will be too flashy. (For me). I think the Pearloid is a nice touch to go with the White Blocks/Binding. Are the Blocks going to be Pearloid as well?

For me, If I were going for a birdseye board, I would go with no dots at all like the bass I built. Also, I'm not a fan of Pearloid. Too flashy. (But I like Mirrored p/g, go figure. )

Now, T-Blue (no burst), maple/maple, Black blocks/Inlays, BWB p/g, chrome Hardware.... that's hot......

5 string jazz (the small body type)

Swamp ash body

5A Quilt maple as top

3A Birdseye fretboard with no face dots

Normal maple neck

Sadowsky preamp with vtc

Nordstrand Big singles

Black hardware

Hipshot A-Style bridge

Straight transparent blue colour

Man, I just had a chance to play Mike Frederick's bass. Oh my, Nino, that bass is off the charts!!!! One of the finest basses I have played. Seriously, a great instrument!!!!
