There’s a chicken in my yard.

Macca thought of his chickens as family, and was incensed when Kurt Cobain ate one of them
while borrowing Kenwood for a few weeks.

Cobain was contrite, and mortified at the gaffe, but was unable to get Macca to accept his apology
and they became estranged.

An apparently remorseful Macca seemed to reconcile himself to the past when he sent an olive branch
after Kurt's death to Nirvana's Dave Grohl (and that tall bass player guy), asking them to jam on a track that Macca
wrote, the title of which, "Cut Me Some Slack," was a direct quote of Kurt's beg for forgiveness for having et Macca's good mate, the chicken

We had chickens in our yard when I was a kids...one by one they found their way into the pot or oven.

I remember radio host Dennis Prager talking some 20 years ago about how he got some chickens to raise as food, but
his kids got so attached that he found himself writing a big check to a veterinarian at a time when chicken was like 59 cents
a pound

My parents had a hobby farm when I was little. My two older brothers bore the brunt of the really hard work. I was about six when they got rid of the cows and chickens, my sister was three. The cows were sold to a neighbor. The chickens were killed and eaten. I can still remember this vividly, 43 years later. A headless chicken chased my sister, who was wearing a white dress, and screaming, and running pretty much exactly like a chicken with it's head cut off, as luck would have it, because it followed her around the yard. She was utterly terrified, and running in chaotic circles, as was the chicken. They happened to run in circles coincidently*, long enough that it appeared to all observers that she was actually being followed by the headless chicken.

*@#$% spell check -I mean coincidently, not coincidentally. I mean their circles coincided, even though it was just a coincident.

Cok-a-doodle- DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, under any circumstance- Choke it, in public.
You will have problems with men and or women in uniforms.
And you will, most likely have to register at the sheriff's office for A While!
And the Shame you would bring upon your family's name.
My 2 cents.
