Kids aren't worried about going to college anymore because they believe the world will end soon. This doesn't annoy me.

All these annoy me, too, but especially the one I bolded and underlined. For example: I hate it when MLK's "I Have A Dream" speech is cut down to a single sound bite that's taken out of context in order to bolster an opinion that MLK clearly would not have supported.
Gawd, I can't wait until the elections are over. The state-level primaries are in September, but I am sick of being deluged with mailers, text ads, emails, not to mention the countless TV ads.
The worst part? Few if any of the ads ever have anything positive to say...it's always how bad/terrible/evil and how much of a liar the other candidate is. I know it's been that way for years, but it just seems as if it's been amped up exponentially lately.
I miss the days when I wanted to vote FOR somebody, rather than vote AGAINST somebody else.

People. Directly, or indirectly, everything that annoys me stems from people.
Waiting on hold for an inordinate length of time...
...then hearing a click, thinking someone is FINALLY on the line...only to realize you've been disconnected instead.

One group of IT people have come back to the office. 4 of them. For a couple weeks we said hi every time we passed. We caught up on significant others, kids, cats, dogs, etc. All of a sudden I seem to be persona non grata. I get dirty looks every time I pass one of them in the hall.
I didn't do anything!!!!!!! I haven't had a deep enough conversation to touch on anything touchy.
I'm usually pretty thick skinned but it does really get to me when I seem to have ticked a group of people off and have no clue why.
Reading through the thread, the vast majority of folks responding are also annoyed by people and what they do or don't do.
Update they finally came to their senses, that law is no longer
car jackers and people who steal cars are looking at a 2nd degree charge soThis bill increases theft of a motor vehicle to a crime of the 2 second degree. A crime of the second degree is punishable by up to 5 to 10 years imprisonment, up to a $150,000 fine, or both and the police are now allowed to chase the cars, they had a no chase law in NJ prior to this amendment.
But these numbers change all that n 2021, 14,320 vehicles were reported stolen in the Garden State, a 22% increase compared to 2020. And so far in 2022, vehicle thefts are up 31% compared to the same time last year.These numbers are disturbing, especially because we know that there is a strong connection between auto theft and violent, and sometimes deadly, crime

humans crossing in the crosswalk have the right of way and anytime you see some at said crosswalk you need to stop.
Also in NJ we have a don't pass bike and scooter law unless you have your own lane to moved to

In cases where those means of personal conveyance are permitted on roads, the law states, motor vehicle operators must either move to a lane not adjacent to the "pedestrian" if safe to do so, or maintain a distance of at least four feet if a legal lane change is not possible. So guess what that usually equals some idiot riding your bumper or worse passing you on a double line had it happen to me. I have dash cams in all my cars and have called in to NJ #77 no road for this guy that the troopers handle it Oh yeah for those in NJ who don't know
he New Jersey Motor Vehicles Commission (MVC) considers tailgating to be a serious offense and will add five points to your driving record if you commit this violation. If you get six or more points on your New Jersey driving record in three years, you will need to pay a $150 surcharge, plus $25 for each point beyond six. This is in addition to any court fines and penalties that you’ll get for the underlying violation. If you get 12 or more points on your driving record at any time, the MVC will suspend your driver’s license.
Fines
The fine for tailgating is $85. If you commit this violation in a designated safe corridor, construction zone, or 65 mile-per-hour area, however, that fine is increased to $140.
Additionally, the municipal court can fine you any amount between $50 and $200 and/or imprison you in state prison for up to 15 days. The judge also has the discretion to suspend your license for willful violation of this traffic law.

I think it's become more anger than annoyance at this point, but:
Illegal fireworks. I am so done with the sheer arrogance of people shooting off illegal fireworks in the middle of a drought-stricken city. Never mind the fact that it's illegal AND a clear danger to life and property - some folks just have to shoot off their cannons (that's what some of them sound like - ridiculously LOUD!!!) no matter what. And the deeper we get into drought, the more people shoot off illegal fireworks!
My next-door neighbor's yard was set on fire two nights ago by a fireworks remnant set off by one of the neighbors behind my house. Granted, my next-door neighbor should do something about his tinder-dry, knee-high vegetation, but that certainly doesn't excuse the people using the illegal fireworks. If my brother hadn't been in my backyard and saw the fire early, it could have been a lot worse. Several of those remnants landed in my yard, too, but nothing caught fire (thank God).
It's not harmless fun, and it doesn't matter that it's "just one night" (it's actually 2 or 3 nights around here). It only takes one ember to cause a tragedy. And did I mention it's ILLEGAL?!

To say nothing about pets that are freaked out by the loud noises. I also have a good friend with an autistic son who does not like loud noises. He has to wear ear protection (like shooting at the range) to help mitigate it somewhat).
