Our corporate management came to town to take my crew out for lunch. A couple of them I had never met in person. One lady actually asked me how long I've been bald. I answered "Since I started shaving it". I have five bad cow-licks and either have to keep it really short or really long for it to not go many different odd directions.

The earliest McD burger I remember was 35 cents.

I definitely remember 35 cents. Maybe 30.
And the "Premium" gas I put in my first car was 25 cents a gallon.

I also remember paying 25 cents a gallon for premium gas for my 65 GTO, and yes I’m old. Back then premium gas was known as “high test”.

Sweet car. Wish I still had mine. I bought my ‘65 in ‘67 at the ripe old age of 18.
What a blast to drive and a real “ chick magnet” (along with being in the most popular band in town). Wish I could do it all over again. I don’t have any pics of it but here a couple of one just like it. Same color.

I bought mine in '74 when I was 15. It had been badly abused and I got it for $500. I spent a year with it on jackstands in the backyard going through every working system. By the time I got my license I had a very fast '67 GTO.
One downside. It was dark green. I hate green. But beggars can't be choosers.

Remember when Hostess put baseball cards on the backs of the Twinkies and Ding Dongs boxes? I had a bunch of them and sadly threw them all out decades ago. Now I wish I hadn't!

As an avid baseball card collector back then, I collected Topps cards from 1970 through '76 or '77. I distinctly remember these cards (and players, too) on the backs of Ding Dongs boxes, and had many of the ones shown. Thanks for finding this!

Ha! Can you imagine getting hit with a hard slap shot WITHOUT that? Ye-ouch!

Yeah, it would offer some protection, but likely not much of a difference. A salute to all those old-time goalies.
