A Melba Toast Slicer. Usually, you have to have bread with a very dense crumb to slice thin enough for melba toast. This gadget allows slicing of tender, multi-grained-nut breads that are impossible to slice thin any other way.

. That magazine was hilarious. I think I still have one laying around somewhere.
It's been so long ago I really can't remember. I think we used Briggs & Stratton in our go karts.

I actually kind of miss those dimmer switches.
I'm glad they're gone - they suck bad in snow country. I remember having to replace them every few years because they'd corrode out from the salt.
I had and built every one of these monster model kits as a kid in the 60's
