People who get nostalgia for older cars should be forced to drive one of these junkers for a week before being allowed to act on their impulses. The Corvair was completely Teh suXX0rz!
The Corsair, of course, is another story.
My dad worked and drove for John Fitch in the early 60s when they made the Monza racecars out of them. The original Corvairs didn't handle very well, but the Fitch ones were a completely different thing. My dad drove one of the street legal ones for a while and it and him would scare the hell out of you. Very fast and would corner like nobody's business.

I was reminded earlier in the thread about the Cox airplanes and cars.
I got one of these in 1973. My brother and father had been flying the planes for a number of years and I begged for this dune buggy.
It started once, for maybe about 30 seconds. We tried and tried on and off for years to get it to work and it never did. The planes always started right up..................
